Meet Carlos Vivero

We recently connected with Carlos Vivero and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlos, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?

My self-discipline comes from a mix of my upbringing and my personal experiences. I’ve always believed that consistency and follow-through are what separate ideas from results. Over the years, I’ve learned that discipline isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up every day, even on the hard days, and doing the work that needs to be done. A lot of my drive also comes from knowing that what I do makes a difference for others—whether it’s for my clients, my community, or my family. That sense of responsibility fuels me to stay focused and keep pushing forward.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I own a marketing agency in Alpena, Michigan, called Vivero Industries. We’ve been in business for a little over three years, and our specialty is website design, though we also provide social media marketing and graphic design services. What excites me most about what we do is helping businesses and nonprofits share their story in a way that connects with people. Every project is different, and I love the challenge of taking someone’s vision and bringing it to life online.

While our roots are here in Michigan, we’ve started to expand our work into other states as well, which is really exciting for us. At the end of the day, my goal is to not only create beautiful, functional websites, but also to build lasting relationships with the people we serve. I want folks to know that when they work with Vivero Industries, they’re not just getting a service—they’re getting a partner who is invested in their success.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are passion, drive, and efficiency. Passion is what keeps me motivated through the ups and downs—when you truly love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. Drive is the push to keep moving forward, even when things get tough. And efficiency is about working smarter, not just harder, so that I can get the most out of my time and energy.

My advice for anyone early in their journey is to find what you’re passionate about and something you’re naturally good at, then figure out how to monetize it. You might fail multiple times, but success isn’t about avoiding failure—it’s about how many times you’re willing to get back up and keep going. Every setback is a lesson that can make you stronger and better prepared for the next opportunity.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning how to scale my agency while still maintaining quality and personal connection with clients. Over the last three years, I’ve been able to 3x my agency, and that growth has pushed me to become a better leader, a better strategist, and more efficient in how I manage projects. It’s taught me the importance of systems, teamwork, and trusting the process. Looking back, I can see how much both my business and I have evolved, and that’s something I’m really proud of.
