Carlotta, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

My generosity is deeply rooted in my upbringing and the example set by my parents. Growing up in a household where selflessness, service, and compassion were valued, I internalized the idea of giving without expecting anything in return. As a preacher’s kid, I witnessed firsthand the act of serving others, whether through my parents’ dedication or their financial sacrifices. Their example of always prioritizing the needs of others helped shape my sense of empathy and kindness.

My values of caring and sharing seem to be an extension of that foundation—seeing the world through a lens of “there’s always someone who needs this more than I do.” My generosity is not just about material giving, but also about emotional and spiritual support, an instinct to uplift others because I was taught that this is how we make the world better.

I hold titles that define who I am, and each one I carry with pride. I am an entrepreneur, educator, a social worker, a minister, a daughter, a sister, and a wife. Every role has shaped me, and each continues to inspire the work I do today.

At this chapter in my life, my husband and I have ventured into something truly special together—Kingdom Graphics, our graphic design and printing company. We are more than just a service provider; we are a one-stop shop where creativity meets quality. Our motto, “Bring Your Dreams to Life,” encapsulates everything we stand for—transforming ideas into reality and making every project as unique as the dreams behind it.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. As a creative at heart, I’ve also embraced the opportunity to run an online boutique, offering one-of-a-kind items that speak to my personal style and passion for design. And there’s more: alongside my best friend, I co-own a custom bar featuring t-shirts, engraved items and much more—our creative outlet that’s as much about fun as it is about fashion. Together, we take our designs on the road, traveling all over Texas, sharing our creations with a community that loves what we do.

Our vision is simple, yet powerful: to become the most loved, trusted, and innovative company in our industry. We’re not just looking to make an impact; we’re aiming to build lasting relationships with our clients and set new standards in the world of design and print. Every day, we take one step closer to making that vision a reality, and we’re grateful for the journey ahead.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Advice: “Know where you’re going before you start the journey. Without a clear vision, you risk drifting or wasting resources.”

Advice: “Cash flow is king—without it, even the best ideas won’t survive. Always know your numbers.”
Monitor their financials regularly, not just during tax season or when an issue arises. Knowing your numbers in real-time helps
avoid surprises and better prepares for future investments.

Advice: “Your business doesn’t exist without customers. Always put them at the heart of your strategy and communication.”
Understand your audience and be where they are.

How would you describe your ideal client?

Our ideal client at Kingdom Graphics is a business owner who is ready to establish or refresh their brand identity. They understand the importance of clear, compelling visuals that speak to their audience and help them stand out in a competitive market. Whether they’re launching a new business or revitalizing an existing one, they need a strong, consistent visual identity that includes logos, branding, and custom merchandise. These clients are looking for professional design that will give their business the visibility and recognition it deserves, ensuring that their brand leaves a lasting impression on customers.
