Meet Carmen Bucco

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Carmen Bucco. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Carmen below.

Hi Carmen, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

Being raised in the foster care system, living on the streets at times and nearly losing my life to drugs I was either going to be a statistic or a part of society. Which lead me to where I am today now I am running for congress to give hope to young men and women to be able to strive as well as being the founder of a non profit Buccos rising stars help your men and women in the system, orphans and underserved children transition into adulthood

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

As an owner of Bucco Couture I get to change lives while making people look good which makes them feel good. I get most excited when not only do they leave a review but tell me how everyone complimented how great they looked.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

When I look back it was all about the drive for better. I was not willing to settle for less. My back story gave me the drive to want to create a legacy for myself and loved ones. I learned from many old school tailors and knew that I did not want to be just a company that sold things. I wanted to have a place where people felt they can go and get treated as if they where family. I would tell anyone out there learn and master your skill. Make your dreams come true and become an entrepreneur. Don’t be afraid of not earning because if you can do it for someone else you can do it for yourself.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My old bosses and my clients where my inspiration they truly believed in me and now over 25 years later I have them to thank for it, I learned so much but when faced with a challenge I would not just run from it. I would own it find the proper solutions and focus on not getting into that situation again.
