Meet Carmen Strength

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Carmen Strength. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Carmen below.

Carmen, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
I try to constantly expose myself to new experiences, ideas, and perspectives to keep my creativity alive. I read books,

articles, and essays across various genres and topics that helps me gather diverse perspectives and insights. I engage with

different forms of art such as music, visual arts, and films. Stepping away from work and allowing my mind to wander helps

refresh my creativity. Taking breaks allows me to return with a fresh perspective and renewed energy. I’m not afraid to try

new things and experiment with different approaches with willingness to take risks fosters innovation and creativity. Working

with others allows me to bounce ideas off of different perspectives and build on each other’s creativity. I take time to reflect

on my thoughts and experiences, practicing mindfulness to stay present and aware. This helps me process ideas and make

connections that fuels an opportunity to learn and grow. I’m love to take creative risks and push boundaries to creativity. In

conclusion, keeping an open mind, staying curious, and being willing to explore and experiment are key to keeping creativity

alive.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three impactful qualities of knowledge in a journey are relevance, accuracy, and adaptability. Relevance is the knowledge

that is directly applicable to the challenges and goals of the journey can make a significant difference. It helps in problem-

solving and decision-making along the way. Accuracy is reliable and accurate knowledge ensures that decisions are based

on sound information, minimizing the risk of mistakes or setbacks during the journey. Adaptability is experiences that can be

adapted and applied flexibly in different situations allows for versatility and resilience, enabling adjustments to unforeseen

circumstances encountered during the journey.

My advice to develop and improve your journey is to set clear goals, be flexible and adaptable, seek support, and celebrate

milestones.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Having support from my mom can be incredibly valuable in overcoming challenges and building essential qualities for success.

She likely provides encouragement, guidance, and a listening ear, all of which are crucial for personal growth and development.

It’s important to express gratitude for her support and to continue learning from her wisdom and experiences as you navigate

your journey toward success.
