Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carolina B. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Carolina with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My father.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a wedding and event planner based in Southern California. I focus on the design, curating and management of a wedding, assisting you from beginning to end, bringing your ideas to life and working with you to create the event of your dreams. I specialize in luxury and destination weddings, as well as engagements, honeymoons, corporate and private events. I strive for you to have the best experience and resources fit for you and your budget. This allows you to focus on the most essential aspects of your special day, taking the extra stress off your back, and saving you time and money.
As a planner, I know each wedding is very different and unique to the couple and will provide the services necessary. My strategy is for you to only spend on what you need and keep you on track so you can enjoy your wedding to the fullest. I also work with an incredible team of vendors who are responsible professionals willing to go above and beyond for each event. We are available to you every step of the way and have monthly meetings to ensure the best communication. The bond I create with my clients and fellow vendors is crucial for my business. Together, we create the best day, and your happiness is why we do what we do.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I was first introduced into the event industry when my younger cousin was getting married in Mexico and asked me to help her plan, and I loved it. After her wedding, I searched for a school that offered classes to become a professional wedding planner and start my own business. I completed my degree at Penn Foster Career College in Wedding and Event Planning and Design and was certified by the Association of Bridal Consultants. During my last semester, I created my brand as CB Event Planner and went straight into planning destination weddings.
During the start-up process, I worked on improving my marketing skills, keeping good work ethic, and did multiple internships to learn from fellow professionals. These three things really helped me grow as a person and business. I also recommend joining a community within your industry to make connections and stay updated. I have been planning weddings for almost a decade now and I have enjoyed every chapter of it.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I appreciate all my fellow event industry professionals and wedding vendors who have supported me and my business throughout the years in many ways. A big thank you goes out to my wonderful family and friends for being my pillars and encouraging me to achieve my goals and dreams. I am incredibly grateful for everyone who plays a part in my journey, especially all my wonderful couples who I have the privilege of working with. I love curating refined and elevated experiences for my clients and will continue putting my heart into every detail.
