We recently connected with Caroline Lesley and have shared our conversation below.

Caroline, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My background as an actor taught me how to deal with rejection. I spent years as an actor, host and voice artist in NYC, SF, LA & TORONTO. Working in the entertainment business taught me to keep going and believe in myself. The next job is around the corner. Because, like most things, it takes hard work, talent, perseverance, determination, resilience, and LUCK. And as the Roman philosopher, Seneca, said: “Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity.” You have to be prepared to seize that moment. Keep working at your craft and believing your moment will come. But BE READY for it.

I just launched Rainbow Ray Society.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Creativity – This piece has been important for me in my life journey to date. I am a creative at heart and used this skill as an actor, voice-over artist, celebrity correspondent, artist and designer.

Determination – I don’t give up and I see things through.

Kindness – Pay it forward. Say yes. I am forever grateful to the people that have taken time to give me advice or take a call along the way, and I always try to do the same for others. Help each other out.

I am! This is a brand new company and I need talented people who are smarter than me to help build the brand.
