Casey, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Growing up I always loved making people laugh and creating. One of the things I always liked to do was make videos with my sister. We loved creating comedy skits and these videos were largely never archived or posted anywhere online, but I think that is definitely the origin of my passion for comedy and making content for YouTube.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Casey and I make comedy videos for my YouTube channel, “Sassy Grilled Cheese”. I primarily make funny movie reviews but also dive into other topics from time to time. My brand is very much just being chaotic and having fun. I feel that the most special thing about what I do is interacting with other people who enjoy my videos and connecting with them.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three things that come to mind were self reflection, determination, and willingness to learn. I think its important to try and look at your work from an outside perspective as much as you can. I always say “If you didn’t know you, would you watch your videos?”

Simply put, anyone looking to make videos on the internet should always have their audience in mind no matter what.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

I’ve really been inspired by other creators in the commentary niche and am very thankful to have other newer creators who understand what its like to grow in this space on the internet. The commentary space is such a fun area of YouTube to be in and I love that we’re in an era of YouTube that has so many amazing creators who are all so different in their own way. This new age of YouTube feels so supportive and collaborative and that is something I’m very happy about!
