Cashmere, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
I go for more! I LIKE THEM TO WATCH ME MOVE FOWARD WITHOUT THEM, I ENJOY KNOWING THEY SAY THINGS TO DISTRACT ME BUT I SHOW PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW, OR SAY IMMA STILL WIN. MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MY NAME OR BRAND AT TABLES OR HOMES I DON’T SIT AT WATCH ME AND TRY TO IMITATE WHAT I DO, BUT IT NEVER WORKS. IVE GIVEN PPL ENERGY TO FINALLY PUT ON FOR NYC… JUST REMEMBER WHO REALLY STARTED BADDIES MOVEMENT FOR NYC…. NOT A TEAM OF FEMALES IN THE CLUB MAKING MOVES. ACTUALLY THEM GETTING AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE SEEN. WHEN I SEE MY ABILITIES AT INSPIRING PEOPLE. IT MAKES ME MORE CREATIVE
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My brands are THEORIGINALBADDIESOFNYC WHICH IS ABOUT TO GO INTO SEASON 3 AND TOP INFLUENCER WHICH WE WILL BE FILMING SEASON 1 SOON. BADDIES IS A PLATFORM FOR WOMAN WHO WANT TO DO MORE WORK LIFE BUT STILL STRUGGLE WITH THEMSELVES , RELATIONSHIPS WHICH HENDERS THEM FROM ACTUALLY GETTING TO THE BUSINESS LEVEL THEY FEEL THEY SHOULD BE.
TOP INFLUENCER IS A NEW GAME COMPETITION SHOW THAT I CREATED FOR YOUR FAVORITE REALITY TV,YOUTUBERS,TIKTOK,IG INFLUENCERS IN ONE HOUSE TO SHOW THE UPS AND DOWNS THEY GO THROUGH TO MAKE IT IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY WHILE COMPETING IN CHALLENGES AND SHOWING WHY THEY ARE THE TOP INFLUENCER.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU GIVE OPPORTUNITIES TO. IF CAN RUIN THE IMAGE AND LEAVE YOU REBUILDING . WATCH WELL YOU TRUST IN THIS INDUSTRY BECAUSE MOST ARE AROUND YOU FOR A REASON. KEEP YOUR IDEAS TO YOURSELF UNTIL YOU HAVE EXECUTED IT. INVEST IN YOURSELF DON’T LET OTHERS INVEST IN YOUR DREAMS.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
SUPPORT ME AND MY SISTER THROUGH ALL OF OUR ENDEAVORS. RAISED US RIGHT. I’M BADLY THEY SHOWED US LOVE … WE SEE SO MANY PEOPLE WITH TERRIBLE BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS, FRIENDSHIPS ETC BECAUSE THE LOVE AT HOME WASN’T SHOWN OR GIVEN. I’M THANKFUL FOR THEM BOTH .. THEY WILL ALWAYS COME RUNNING NO MATTER HOW OLD I GET.
