Meet Casie Sowers

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Casie Sowers. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Casie below.

Hi Casie, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I attribute my strong work ethic to my early involvement in sports, where I learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and discipline. These foundational lessons taught me that success is attainable through consistent effort and dedication. Running a business—particularly as a sole operator—demands a wide range of skills, and I’ve grown through every challenge and learning opportunity along the way. I’m also deeply committed to setting a positive example for the next generation. As a mother of three, I’m constantly aware that my children are watching and learning from my actions. Instilling the importance of hard work from a young age is something I believe in wholeheartedly.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My name is Casie Sowers. I was born and raised in Greenville, Ohio, and currently own and operate a Sweet & Sowers Designs in Covington, Ohio. I pursued my education at Edison State Community College and Wright State University for my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have three wonderful children.

Sweet & Sowers Designs was founded shortly after the birth of our second child, born out of my passion for creating, designing, and crafting. What began with custom printed shirts quickly expanded when I discovered my love for embroidery—an offering that was not widely available locally at the time. I saw a need and was excited to fill it.

Supporting other small businesses is something I value deeply. I strive to provide affordable, high-quality merchandise to help fellow entrepreneurs grow their brands without breaking the bank. I understand firsthand the challenges of running and expanding a business, and I’m committed to being part of that solution for others.

As our business has grown, so has our product line. We’re proud to introduce exclusive Sweet & Sowers Designs bamboo sleepwear sets for both children and adults—unique, high-quality designs you won’t find anywhere else, we hope to talk soon!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that have had the greatest impact on my journey as a business owner are adaptability, strong communication skills, and a good sense of humor.

Adaptability is essential in any business—especially in a constantly evolving industry. The ability to embrace change and adjust quickly to new trends, customer needs, and unexpected challenges has been key to my continued growth and resilience.

Effective communication is just as critical. I believe that building genuine relationships with customers goes far beyond completing a transaction. Taking the time to connect, listen, and learn about each customer not only enriches the experience but also creates lasting loyalty and trust.

Lastly, a sense of humor has been an invaluable asset. Owning and running a business comes with its share of stress and setbacks, but maintaining a positive outlook and being able to laugh—even during tough moments—has helped me stay grounded and move forward with confidence.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
