Meet Cassandra Chacon

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cassandra Chacon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cassandra below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Cassandra with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my good work ethics from my parents. Growing up they showed us how to always do a great job, no matter how hard it is. Or if we didn’t want to do it. That doing good and working hard always pays off in the end. Even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I have been doing nails for 13 years now. I got my license when I was still in high school and started working right away. I have always loved doing my nails growing up, so when I saw the opportunity to go to school for nails, I did it right away. I have had my nail studio for 2 years now. It’s been an amazing, but hard journey. Everyone makes having their own business look so easy. But it’s a lot of hard work. That I wouldn’t change for the world. I specialize in gel polish manicures, gel x extensions, structured gel manicures, and pedicures. I love being in the beauty industry. It’s constantly changing, so it’s never the same day in and day out. There’s always new trends, new colors, and tons of new products. It’s such a fun industry to be in.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

At the other nail salon I was at, it really gave me a lot of knowledge on how to make my business successful. I was the manger, it gave me a lot of good problem solving skills, good communication skills, social media tips and ticks, and how to run a successful business.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

They never pushed me to choose a different career path. They let me follow my dreams. They have been so supportive through this whole journey. I have had a lot of clients in the past, think I just do nails and it’s not a good enough job. My parents have never thought that and have never tried to push me into going to a traditional career.
