Cassandra, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
I have learned to trust my expertise and to remain true to myself, regardless of the opinions of others. In life, you cannot allow the opinions of other people to distract you from your vision or goals. Of course, with grit and determination I have remained intentional and focused on my path.

I am the owner of 73Leo Events & Business Consulting located in Dallas, Texas. I have always had a passion for event planning, and upon recently receiving my MBA from the University of Phoenix (Magna Cum Laude) I decided to expand the company to incorporate business consulting. Although all aspects of business excite me, the primary focus of our new division are small businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups. Additionally, our target markets are corporate, sports, and entertainment events or businesses.
We help businesses grow by creating a customized strategy tailored to their needs. The approach we take is designed to identify areas for improvement and growth, while also leveraging strengths and opportunities. We understand that every business is unique, and our event planning and business consulting services are tailored to meet our clients’ specific needs.
We believe in offering tailored solutions for our clients’ unique needs. We also understand the challenges that come with planning an event or operating a business, which is why we strive to help businesses achieve sustainable growth. We take a personalized approach with all our services, by taking the time to learn about our client’s business and their goals.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The most impactful areas of knowledge, qualities or skills in my journey are determination, grit, and education. Determination has been the force that kept me going, grit has the fire and desire that would not let me quit and education has taken me to a completely different level. My advice to others is to be intentional and focused with your goals, establish a clear vision of what you want, and invest time in making it happen.

I am currently establishing a preferred vendor network of venues, event planners, catering companies, DJ’s, bartenders, and entertainers for future events.
