We recently connected with Cassie Chacon and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassie, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
Self care is huge. We are constantly putting others first and always putting ourselves last. Not doing any kind of self care is going to cause a burn out faster. For me i typically just have a lazy day. Watch movies all day and cuddle on the couch with my dogs.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I focus on keeping natural nail healthy. I don’t do acrylics. I focus on gel manicures, gel x extensions, structured gel manicures, and pedicure. I also make sure my studio is pretty clean. I take pride in how clean I am. I go above and beyond on what state requires us to do for cleaning and disinfecting our tools. After I scrub all my metal tools with soap and water, I put them in a hospital grade disinfectant. I then wear gloves rinse them off, package them and put them in an autoclave.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think managing the nail salon I was at really had helped me with my business. It has given me the skills to handle all that comes my way. It has given me the skills for marketing, learning the business side of the nail salon, and helped me with more customer service experience.
How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who is willing to work on getting their natural nails healthy. It takes time for long beautiful nails. A lot of people are so used to having everything right away. Good things take time. Once you get those long beautiful nails, you’ll never go back.
