We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cassie Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cassie below.
Cassie, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
This is actually a funny and intriguing question for me, because I don’t really try to keep my creativity alive, it just never turns off. My mind is always racing with new ideas, whether it’s a fresh way to run part of my business, a new system that would make things easier, or a concept for a completely new venture. I’m constantly asking myself, “What would make sense? What would make this experience smoother, better, or more exciting?”
I let my mind roam freely and I don’t box myself in. Some of my best ideas come when I’m not even actively working, they just pop into my head, and I find ways to bring them to life. For me, creativity is about turning those random sparks into something real and valuable. That might mean developing a new beauty service, imagining a marketing campaign, designing systems for my team, or even brainstorming the next business I want to launch.
I think the key is that I allow myself to follow my thoughts wherever they go. I don’t overthink or force it, I let creativity come naturally, and then I build structure around it so the idea can grow into something tangible. That balance of free-flowing imagination and strategic execution is what keeps my creativity alive.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’ve always been an introvert at heart, but I’m also someone whose mind never stops racing with ideas. I’ve been obsessed with beauty and business for as long as I can remember, even though I never actually had an interest in doing beauty services myself. In fact, I’ve never performed a single service, lashes, brows, facials, none of it. The spa came to life from what I like to call a “genius accident.” One day my accountant sarcastically joked that I spend so much time at the spa I might as well open my own. That little comment stuck with me, and soon after Pink Caviar Lash & Brow Spa was born.
What makes Pink Caviar so special is that it blends my love for beauty with my love of building businesses and systems. We specialize in services like lash extensions, brow design, facials, and more, all in a space that’s designed to feel luxurious, modern, and welcoming. But beyond the beauty side, what excites me most is creating an ecosystem where staff, students, and even future franchisees can thrive.
Right now, we’re preparing for a major renovation and rebrand at Pink Caviar Lash & Brow Spa. This next chapter is going to elevate the space and experience into a whole new era of style and luxury, and it’s something I’m working on day and night to bring to life. At the same time, we’re also celebrating the launch of our new online beauty courses through Pink Caviar University. This has been such an exciting step because it allows us to share our knowledge beyond the spa walls and connect with students everywhere.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that shaped my journey the most were:
My Business Mindset – I’ve always had a natural way of looking at things through the lens of strategy and profit. For me, every idea has to make sense on paper and in practice.
My Creative Imagination – My brain never stops coming up with new ideas. I let my imagination run broad and free, and then I find ways to turn those sparks into real, tangible businesses or systems.
My Perfectionist Drive – I’m not satisfied with “just good enough.” I push myself to refine, polish, and perfect an idea until it not only looks right but actually works and produces results.
For anyone who’s early in their journey, my biggest advice is: RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. Don’t ever assume you can’t do something just because you weren’t “born” with the skill. You can learn anything, practice it, and perfect it over time.
Also, figure out what you’re naturally good at because you never know what hidden strengths or skills you already have that can make your journey to success much smoother. The truth is, you really can be anything you want to be in life. The world is your oyster, but it’s up to you to crack it open and go after what’s inside.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes, always! I love connecting with other business owners, because business-owner-to-business-owner conversations are some of the best ones you can have. You never know what insight or idea you might pick up when you’re speaking to someone else who’s walking their own path to success.
I’m especially drawn to connecting with other introverts in business (lol). Introverts really understand each other’s energy and mindset, and there’s something refreshing about building in that kind of space. But honestly, I’m open to collaborating with anyone, service providers, creatives, influencers, entrepreneurs, brands, or anyone who has a passion for what they do.
