Catherine B., so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My journey to purpose began in the shadows of war. Surviving the bombing in the former Yugoslavia, I made a promise to myself—to be the light in the world, no matter how dark it gets. Years later, when I faced a deadly virus and found healing in the stillness of a monastery, that promise deepened. I embarked on a profound personal growth journey, completing nearly 50 transformational programs, and discovered through reconnecting with my inner child and my higher self that I am enough—that I am the creative force of my own life. With that realization, I gave myself permission to try again. After 246 rejections, in 2017, my book was finally published—and became a bestseller. People began reaching out for guidance, and I felt my calling take shape. I left my 15-year corporate career as a programmer to dedicate myself fully to helping others. Today, as a holistic business coach, I empower coaches, consultants, and entrepreneurs to grow thriving online businesses doing what they love—so they can be financially free and no longer dependent on systems. My mission is simple yet powerful: to help you make your dream business flourish and live life on your own terms through my Freedom Navigator framework, which combines three powerful pillars—visibility, creating multiple revenue streams, and implementing high-tech solutions.

I’m Catherine B. Roy, an internationally recognized business and personal growth coach, bestselling author, TEDx keynote speaker, and founder of LHM Academia — an online ecosystem designed to help people and companies grow in their own way. My mission is simple yet powerful: to help you do what you love while being empowered by your own freedom.

What excites me most about my work is the transformation I witness in my clients — coaches, consultants, entrepreneurs, and companies — as they turn their online presence into a source of both profit and purpose. Through my signature programs, such as the LHM Business Accelerator and the LinkedIn Business Accelerator, I guide clients step-by-step in mastering business strategy, marketing, content creation, and client acquisition without expensive ads — all while aligning with their unique personality and strengths.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are vision, strategic execution, and emotional intelligence.

1. Vision – Everything begins with a clear, compelling vision of where you want to go. For me, that vision was not only about business success, but also about creating an impact and helping others do what they love with freedom. Vision gives you direction when challenges come, and it keeps you inspired when results take time. My advice: invest time in clarifying your “why” and imagining your ideal future in vivid detail — this will become your internal compass.

2. Strategic Execution – Ideas are powerful, but execution turns them into reality. For me, this also meant understanding sustainable business models, leveraging high technology from my 15 years as a programmer, building a powerful personal brand, and mastering LinkedIn. My advice: master planning and prioritization, understand the models and tools that create scale, and commit to consistent action, even when it’s imperfect.

3. Emotional Intelligence – Business is about people, and the ability to understand, connect, and build trust is a true superpower. Emotional intelligence helped me lead teams, serve clients, and create programs that resonate on a deeper level. My advice: practice self-awareness and empathy daily. Listen more than you speak, and seek to truly understand your audience, clients, and partners — this is how you create lasting relationships and opportunities.

For those just starting, remember: your vision fuels you, your strategy moves you, and your emotional intelligence connects you to the people who will grow with you. Develop these, and you’ll have a foundation strong enough to weather any storm.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal clients are coaches, consultants, entrepreneurs, and executives who are ready to step into discovering and building their true purpose, shaping their legacy, and creating something truly impactful in the world. I’m drawn to working with high achievers who not only aim for excellence in their own careers but also have a deep desire to help others rise.

I especially resonate with philanthropists and visionaries — people who understand that the world is more than what we see in the 3D, who believe in deeper meaning, higher consciousness, and the power of positive change. These are the individuals who think big, care deeply, and are committed to making a difference that goes beyond themselves.
