We recently connected with Catherine Cole and have shared our conversation below.
Catherine, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I developed my work ethic from my parents. My father was a self-employed carpenter, and my mother specialized in wallpaper installation. They were the first “house flippers” I ever knew; they would buy older homes, renovate them, and resell them. Observing their dedication firsthand taught me exactly how much hard work is required to be successful.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Catherine, and since 1991, I’ve been handcrafting premium lace socks and bridal accessories for women. What began as a creative passion has evolved into a signature style embraced by women across the country.
My customers often tell me that these socks have become their personal trademark. Whether it’s the ULTIMATE Cotton Slouch Socks paired with boots, the SIGNATURE Lace Cuff Socks that elevate an outfit, or the romantic LACE TOP Slouch variants, each pair is designed to be a statement of confidence and luxury.
Every piece is handmade using the finest materials, including soft, breathable cotton and delicate lace. This careful construction ensures that they not only look beautiful but feel incredible. I never rush the process, as your signature look deserves nothing less than perfection.
In addition to my core sock collection, I also create handmade barefoot sandals for brides seeking something extraordinary for their wedding day. Each piece reflects the same attention to detail and handcrafted quality that defines the Catherine Cole aesthetic.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
To succeed, determination is essential. My personal mantra has always been “too stupid to quit,” as I believe you must constantly draw inspiration from your surroundings—whether it is current color trends, the economic climate, or your own intuition about what fits your brand.
In terms of marketing and reaching consumers, I recommend always staying genuine and true to yourself. This authenticity is what ultimately builds a loyal following.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
I would love to spend my next decade traveling the world. I have one National Park left to visit, and after that, I plan to visit every continent. Exploring the world is definitely at the top of my bucket list.
