Meet Cathy Rodriguez

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cathy Rodriguez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cathy below.

Cathy, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I started working at the age of 11 babysitting the children in the neighborhood. I worked at CYO Day Camp as a teenager, and went into teaching as a profession. My father was my inspiration for my work ethic. He passed away when I was 11, but he always worked 2 jobs to b weigh able to allow my mother to be a SAHM.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I opened the bakery in September of 2018. I had no idea it would become what it is today. I offer hand made food, treats and cakes using all natural ingredients. Cakes come in several flavors and sizes, including a gender reveal cake, so expectant parents can include their furbaby in the festivities. My pumpkin peanut butter treats and cakes are fan favorites! If your pup has allergies or food sensitivities, we can work up a nutritional plan to fit your pup’s needs.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I did tons of research before I started baking to make sure I was using only quality ingredients which were compatible with most dogs. I’ve also researched alternatives to grain and proteins for those pup’s who require a more specialized diet. I try to keep my recipes and ingredients simple and healthy as an option to store brand kibble.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is probably someone with multiple pets. More than likely they have a few foster fails like I do. They always prefer pets to people, and their pets are part of their family. They want the absolute best when it comes to their pets nutritional health, and they like that I use only 4 ingredients in my cakes.
