Meet CeErica Allen

We recently connected with CeErica Allen and have shared our conversation below.

CeErica , so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
To overcome imposter syndrome, I acknowledge my achievements and cut out negative self-talk. I also seek support from trusted individuals, embrace continuous learning, and celebrate progress over perfection. It’s important I surround myself with positive influences, keep a record of positive feedback, and take on new challenges to build confidence. I remind my self, it’s a process that takes time and practice, so I’m patient and celebrate my progress when I can.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am the founder of FRSH Marketing, Branding & Design, LLC, where I specialize in crafting clean and hassle-free design solutions for passionate small businesses. My next venture will be FRSH Take Academy where I will be offering educational courses to business owners, aspiring designers and everything in between.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey are:

Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new opportunities is crucial. The business landscape is constantly evolving, and being able to adjust your strategies and approaches accordingly is essential for long-term success. My advice to those starting their journey is to cultivate a growth mindset, be open to learning, and embrace change. Seek out new experiences, take on diverse projects, and continuously challenge yourself to expand your skills and knowledge.

Communication: Effective communication is key in any business or professional endeavor. The ability to clearly articulate your ideas, listen actively, and understand the needs of clients and stakeholders is vital. Developing strong communication skills involves practice, active listening, and seeking feedback. Emphasize clarity, empathy, and effective storytelling in your communication style to build strong relationships and convey your message effectively.

Continuous Learning: In a rapidly evolving world, it’s important to have a mindset of continuous learning. Stay curious and never stop seeking knowledge and new insights in your field. Invest in your professional development through workshops, courses, industry events, and networking opportunities. Keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices to stay relevant and provide value to your clients or organization.

My advice to those starting their journey is to embrace a growth mindset, be open to feedback, and actively seek opportunities for learning and growth. Surround yourself with mentors, join professional communities, and never stop honing your skills and expanding your knowledge base. Remember that success is a journey, and the commitment to continuous improvement will greatly contribute to your progress.
