Meet Celines Estevez

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Celines Estevez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Celines, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from my faith, my family, and my determination to push beyond my limits. Moving to New York City on January 1st—right in the middle of winter—was a shock, especially experiencing snow for the first time after a lifetime in South Florida. But I thrive in the unknown! That’s why I traveled solo to Egypt, learning to navigate the world on my own.

At the core of everything I do is my Catholic faith. It keeps me grounded, providing strength and clarity when challenges arise. I stay close to my parish here in New York, attending Mass regularly. No matter how demanding this journey gets, I know I have my family’s unwavering support—they always remind me why I started in the first place.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m an actress based in New York City, deeply passionate about the craft—especially when it comes to physically demanding and action-driven roles. I don’t just want to play strong characters; I want to become them. I’m currently training at HB Studio under Academy Award-winning actress Mercedes Ruehl and have recently started weapon fight training and firearm training, including shooting pistols and rifles, to prepare for upcoming action-based projects.

I recently signed with Citizen Talent for commercial representation in NYC and have already been seen by top clients like Hoka. I’m also represented in the South Central region by The Blanco Agency in Texas for TV, film, and commercial work.

Right now, I’m in the middle of shooting a film in New York City, which has been an incredible experience. At the same time, I’ve immersed myself in the NYC running community, waking up at 5 AM to train in the freezing winter—something completely new after growing up in South Florida! But I thrive on challenges, and I know that pushing myself now will only make me stronger.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, adaptability, and discipline—each shaping me both as an artist and as a person. The entertainment industry is filled with highs and lows, and pushing through discomfort is what leads to growth. For those starting out, my advice is to develop a strong mindset—lean on faith, family, or whatever keeps you grounded. Remind yourself why you started, and never lose sight of your goals, no matter how tough the road gets.

Adaptability has been just as important. Moving from South Florida to New York City in the dead of winter, traveling solo to Egypt, and stepping into new training environments have all reinforced the power of change. Be open to learning, and don’t shy away from challenges—growth happens outside your comfort zone.

Discipline is what turns potential into success. Talent alone isn’t enough; consistency and hard work make the difference. Waking up at 5 AM to run in freezing temperatures, training in gymnastics and weapon combat, and refining my craft at HB Studio all require commitment. The road isn’t always easy, but if you put in the work and trust the process, the results will come.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

Out of all the self-help books I’ve read, The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale stands out the most. One of its most impactful lessons is the idea that maintaining a positive mindset can transform challenges into opportunities. Our thoughts directly shape our reality, and by cultivating optimism, we can overcome obstacles that once seemed insurmountable.

The book also emphasizes the power of faith—faith in yourself, your purpose, and a higher power. This resonates deeply with me, as my Catholic faith has been a cornerstone of my resilience and determination throughout my life.
