Meet Cerila Gailliard

We recently connected with Cerila Gailliard and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cerila, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I do not think you can ever find your purpose in life. I think your purpose comes in different phases and where you are in life. I never thought about owning my own business until I graduated from college. I think you need to be open to new ideas as well as what life is telling you and showing you through friends, work, and other activities in your life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the owner of Orchestrating Your Success LLC (www.ousllc.com). I am a veteran of all things project management. I am dedicated to bringing clarity and driving results within the project management framework. My commitment is to prepare organizations for the work required to achieve project success.

It the next two months I will launching my first podcast. It is called “Manage Your Projects With Confidence”, This podcast will explore how businesses are using project management in their business. I always say “Every project is unique and every business does project management differently.” ~ Cerila Gailliard, PMP, CSM.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The most important skills is communication and presentation skills. I was a very shy child in my youth. I never felt comfortable talking to people in a crowded room especially If I did not know anyone in the room. You would never see me presenting anything to anybody. I hated talking in front of people. However, I had to get over my own fears in these two areas. I told myself to get out there and just do it. And that is what I did!!! The more you practice the better you communicate. The more you practice with the opportunity to present, the better you get at presenting. Do not let fear stifle your progress in life. Be willing to change when necessary. We love being comfortable but sometimes being to comfortable; we miss opportunities or will not take opportunities.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
I have been trying to take my business global for the passed three years. I have not given up but I have changed my strategy this year. Going global takes time but it is all about finding the right strategy to get into the market.
