We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cesiah Lopez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cesiah below.
Cesiah, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
Our generosity comes from our faith. Praise N Petals was founded with the belief that every flower arrangement can be more than just decoration it can be a vessel of love, hope, and encouragement. From the very beginning, our mission has been to serve others through creativity and compassion, reflecting the heart of Christ in all that we do. Before we ever took on weddings or large events, we began by blessing families in our church community. During holidays and special gatherings, we would create floral arrangements to celebrate milestones, honor loved ones and bring joy to those who might be going through difficult seasons. Those moments reminded us that generosity doesn’t always come from abundance it comes from a willing heart. Each design we create is a small act of worship and gratitude. We see our work as an opportunity to give back, to remind others of God’s beauty and faithfulness, and to make people feel seen and loved. That’s where our generosity blooms from faith in action, one petal at a time.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m the founder and heart behind Praise N Petals, a faith-based floral and décor business rooted in the belief that creativity can be an act of service. What began as a small ministry creating floral arrangements to bless families and church events has grown into a heartfelt business that serves couples, families, and communities across the DFW area. At Praise N Petals, we design custom faux floral arrangements and event décor that bring warmth, beauty, and meaning to life’s most special moments. Whether it’s a wedding, celebration, or memorial, our goal is to create designs that reflect love, hope, and faith. We believe beauty doesn’t have to be expensive to be impactful it just needs to be intentional. What excites me most is seeing how our work connects people. Because of my background in social work, I approach every event with empathy and purpose making sure each design tells a story and serves those it touches. Recently, we’ve expanded our offerings to include community collaborations, styled shoots, and “Pay What You Can” floral packages, ensuring that every couple or family who dreams of meaningful décor can have it. Praise N Petals continues to grow as a space where faith, generosity, and creativity bloom together one arrangement at a time.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that have shaped my journey most are faith, empathy, and perseverance. Faith has always been my foundation. It’s what gives me peace when things don’t go as planned and hope when the path ahead feels uncertain. For anyone starting out, I’d say don’t rush the process. Trust that God is working behind the scenes and that your purpose will bloom in His timing. Empathy has guided both my social work practice and my floral business. Understanding people their stories, emotions, and values help me create designs that truly speak to their hearts. Whether you’re working with clients, colleagues, or families, take time to listen deeply. Compassion will always take you further than competition. Perseverance is what keeps the dream alive. Building something meaningful takes patience, humility, and a willingness to grow through challenges. When doors close, remember that redirection is often protection. Keep showing up, even on the hard day’s consistency is where faith and fruitfulness meet.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I take a moment to pause, pray, and breathe. My faith reminds me that I don’t have to carry everything on my own I can release the weight and trust that God will guide me through each step. Sometimes that looks like stepping away from work to take a quiet walk, journaling gratitude, or arranging flowers just for myself as a reminder of God’s beauty in the little things. Over time, I’ve learned that slowing down isn’t a setback it’s a form of strength. My advice for others is to give yourself grace. You don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward. Take one small, faithful step at a time, and remember that peace often comes when you stop striving and start trusting.
