Hi Chanara, so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?
Getting over a creators block can be extremely challenging, so to help myself to get over a creators block I like to look back and reflect how far I’ve came whether it is looking back at my old pictures or tutorials to give me that encouragement that I need to get back to creating and doing what I enjoy the most.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a Jill of all trades and it is time you all know that. I can do makeup , I make and sell press on nails, I cook and not for play but for real lol Atlanta look out for me I will be having soul food dinners for sale and I now offer private catering as well as meal prep. Tune in so you can watch me Live stream on BIGO , creating new makeup looks , making nails, cooking, and you will also have a opportunity to network with me as well. I am always looking for like minded individuals such as myself to collaborate with. You can book me for makeup for your next event. You can also reach out and book me for your next catering event Nara’s Soul on the Go will be on tour and in a city near you.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three major qualities that I needed to have that has been most impactful in my journey are patience, having discernment and being as positive as I can through each phase of my journey. My advice for people is to just keep going but actually put some work/motion behind those steps. This life we desire does not just arrive upon us we have to grind and put that work in and eventually we would be recognized for all our hard work that we have done. Having patience is so important because sometimes as a entrepreneur we are rejected , we have our highs and lows but we have to remain positive through the process and understand and believe that good things are truly coming. Having discernment is major in the industry and just in general, you cant just have anyone around you so you must follow your intuition at all times.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I am big on prayer and my relationship with God so to be honest when I am feeling overwhelmed I tend to pray and really continue to just build my faith. Another way to get my mind off things is to journal , I write things down that bother me then I destroy what I wrote. I also will exercise and eat good fruits and veggies to help boost my immune system to keep me on my toes health is wealth after all right ?
