Meet Chandler Palmer

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chandler Palmer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Chandler, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I found my purpose by living on-purpose.

I always felt a sense of anxiety being asked about “what is your purpose?” until I made the decision to stop focusing on an answer to the question and instead, position myself as a living example of the ongoing discovery to a question that I feel is a personal journey and ever-evolving. Dare I say, “what is your purpose?” is now a rhetorical question?

At 32 years young, I have already lived a few different lives. I was a collegiate athlete and played 4 years of college basketball. Back then, all I knew was that my identity was just that, “Chandler, the basketball player”. When I was finished with my basketball career, I only knew to continue with that identity and decided to pursue coaching women’s collegiate basketball. I served as an assistant coach at a division 3 school in Ohio for one season and absolutely hated it. I realized being on the sidelines was never going to be my thing. I left that chapter behind and decided to move into education where I became a 7th grade science teacher in Florida. After 2 years of loving that job, but with a lingering feeling of “there’s got to be more”… I again, closed the chapter on teaching to go after the prestigious medical device industry. I landed a job as a robotic surgery medical device sales woman. After 3 years, I still felt unfulfilled. So, I took a leap and started showing up on social media to begin building an online community of women searching for more in life. Through combining my athletic background and team-mentality, teaching experience and sales experience, I built my own online business based on female empowerment through striving for more.

After experiencing my own pivots and feverishly persisting seeking out living a life that feels fun and full, my “purpose” is now to continue on that journey with the addition of helping others do the same.

My purpose is combining everything I’ve been this whole time and expanding on each; coaching, teaching/ educating and igniting movement. I activate women to tap into the depths of their desires and enter on a journey to creating lifelong confidence, fulfillment and riches through personal growth and business development.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My focus has been, and always will be, centered around building a community of women that come together to cultivate ambition, action and connection.

At the core of what “I do”, I help women over come paralyzing self-doubt and instead, see the light of potential by entering an digital entrepreneurial feat.

To me, starting a business is so much more than making sales and collecting revenue, it’s an entire sacred journey through which we become the most “us” we could ever be.

I believe in today’s world that we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave our legacies through social media marketing, online courses, digital downloads, and community building.

I create my own offers from a source of personal desire and with each offer creation, I go through my own transformation of determining the result that I believe will be most impactful for my customers and clients.

My entry-offer is one that is near and dear to my heart. I took my passion for “dressing-up” and turned it into an experience that encourages women show up on Instagram and finally stand out. I named this challenge “Dress Like Her”, with the premise being that “her” is the leveled up version of yourself. I am able to show women that posting to social media and starting your own digital business is more of a personal growth and development journey. And the more we work on ourselves and progress, the more successful our business.

During the Dress Like Her challenge, there are chronological components of mindset, belief and inner work, crafting exciting outfits and using this progression to then add in Instagram prompts. The transformation for the girl inside of this challenge is one that changes everything. She will find herself having fun posting content, believing in her potential and feeling fiercely confident about starting her own digital business, or strengthening her current business.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The 3 qualities most impactful during my journey have been;
1. Drive & Persistence
2. Open-mindedness & Optimism
3. The willingness to learn & be a beginner

My advice for those early in their online business journey is simple; don’t give up. It sounds cliche, but nobody can stop you if you can’t stop you. The truth is, those out there that “make it” only make it by their willingness to continuing their improvement. There isn’t a single soul that found success in this industry without first starting from the bottom, starting from zero. The only separator from those that succeed and those that do not, is that the successor doesn’t give up too early.

One of my favorite qualities about myself is the fact that I am a forever-learner. I love learning. I love finding the gaps in what I am doing and seeking out ways to improve. This is a skill that can often times be blocked by our “ego” and I know that this skill can be one that is the biggest difference maker in anyone looking to rise to the top of the online business industry. For example, if you aren’t yet where you want to be, my best advice is to look at the activities you do day in and day out and figure out how to turn those activities into time-collapsing action. Find the actions that can allow you to quantum leap into your goals and your vision. Which also means, ALWAYS have big visions!

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

The biggest area of growth and improvement for me in the last 12 months has been hiring a coach/ mentor.

I stretched myself to invest in a high-level mastermind and coaching environment and it completely changed everything for me.

Where some may read this and think “what coach did you hire?” – the real question should be “where can I invest in an elevated experience and APPLY myself?”

Sometimes, we try so hard to find the strategy and the secrets to our goals… when instead, the actual strategy is simply applying ourselves. By investing beyond my means, putting myself in rooms where others are doing better than me, and paying attention – I have naturally risen to the occasion. There is so much free information on the internet when it comes to strategy and blueprints, but there is something to be said about investing into a cohort full of others already doing what you want to do, and hiring a coach/ mentor that has seen the success that you want to see.
