Hi Chanel , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My self-confidence was developed at a very young age, largely due to the way my mother raised me. She consistently spoke life into me with affirmations like, “You are beautiful,” “You are smart,” “You can do anything you put your mind to,” and “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you” (Philippians 4:13). She held high expectations and instilled in me the belief that excellence is the standard.
As a result, I grew up truly believing there was nothing I couldn’t accomplish, and that the only person who could stand in the way of my dreams was me. And why would I want that for myself?
Over time, those positive words became part of my identity. As I got older, I began to speak affirmations over myself, continuing the habit she started. I also read inspirational books to stay encouraged and to maintain the belief that there are no limits to what I can achieve, as long as I keep God first, work hard, and treat others with kindness. That early foundation still guides me today, as a businesswoman, a leader, and someone committed to uplifting others the same way my mom uplifted me.

I’m a Real Estate Broker and the proud owner of Premier Diamond Realty, a boutique full-service real estate company serving the Greater Sacramento area. I provide strategic, solution-oriented guidance supported by streamlined systems to help first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, and sellers achieve their real estate goals, always operating with a standard of excellence.
I genuinely love playing a significant role in turning someone’s dream into reality. It brings me immense joy to witness the wave of emotions when a first-generation buyer receives the keys to their new home, or when a seller walks away with a six-figure profit as a reward for a smart investment decision made years earlier.
Known as The Sneaker REALTOR®, I’ve infused my passion for real estate and sneakers into a brand that reflects authenticity, joy, and style. I’m deeply committed to my mission of Setting the P.A.C.E. in Sacramento, where I focus on Protecting, Advocating, Celebrating, and Educating my clients every step of the way.
When my buyers close on their home, I gift them a pair of sneakers so they can “Step Into Their New Home in Style.” For my sellers, it’s a celebration of success as they “Run to the Bank in Style.” Sharing a piece of what I love with my clients makes the journey even more meaningful, and they love it just as much as I do.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Confidence- Believing in your ability to figure things out, take risks and trust your instincts. It allows you to show up powerfully, even in unfamiliar or high-pressure situations.
Discipline-Having the ability to stay consistent and follow through, especially when motivation fades. Discipline builds credibility with yourself and others and is key to long-term success in any field.
Emotional Intelligence- Having the capacity to manage your emotions (I’m still working on this lol) and understand the emotions of others. In business, this shows up as empathy, patience, effective communication, and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
I’m a strong believer in leaning into my strengths and outsourcing my weaknesses. I’ve built a trusted support team that allows me to operate in my zone of genius. My executive assistant manages administrative tasks and nurtures client relationships by sending thoughtful birthday and home anniversary cards and gifts. My digital marketing assistant supports my brand through social media content and graphic design, and once a client goes under contract, my transaction coordinator steps in to manage paperwork and timelines.
This structure allows me to focus on where I bring the most value: lead generation, negotiation, and building strong relationships. Most importantly, it allows me to serve my clients at a high level and ensure I consistently deliver top-tier service.
