Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chaniece Parsons. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Chaniece, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Purpose is a strong word. I would use motivation! When I was younger I would see all these health complications in my family and the toll it took to care for a person with certain illnesses. My mother cared for my grandmother Ruby until the very end and seeing her do it with love and some anxiety was the moment that I wanted to not only help but heal. As I grew older I started immersing myself in all of the health books that doctors read and books on how the body works, what functions they hold and how to heal not only the body but the mind. All sicknesses are mainly governed by the mind and gut. I also began to study herbs and how to make medicine from them. In my family we have a strong faith in the Most High and my favorite scripture amongst many was Ezekiel 47:12. You will find that every product i sell has that written on the label. It speaks about the herbs and how they heal. I have found my motivation through believing that it is a way to heal and it’s through faith and herbs!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a small town girl born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa. I come from a big family and we were very close nit. My mother was a very strong woman and taught us the importance of God first and how to be resilient in everything we put our minds to. All praises for my church as well Gathering of Christ Church! My sister Thyanna Parsons was my best friend, mentor, hype girl, and everything that I wanted to be in life. We were 1 year and 11 months apart. She became a teen mom but nothing was going to stop her from achieving her goals in life. My nephew Korienno Parsons became my motivation to help her do just that. All her hard work had finally paid off when she was scheduled to graduate college with a degree in Biomedical Chemistry and become a forensic scientist when her life was tragically cut short by a bullet at only 23 years old in front of me. My whole life was stolen at that moment and that’s when Kingdom herbs was born. I realized if I can find redemption in anything it was to save as many as I can with my faith and the herbs. I almost lost myself but this knowledge saved me in a sort. I got married and had 2 amazing children Zion and Dorian and they have been there through all the ups and downs of my business. The long nights of making my products to finding containers, looking for ways to sell, making flyers, going to venues to sell and much more. They are the epitome of what you could ask for in children. I make all of my tinctures using organically sourced ingredients and I extract the medicinal properties from the herbs using a 4 to 1 ratio. I also make natural products such as and not limited to lotions, pain balm, perfumes and colognes, loose teas, soaps, gummies, capsules etc. I started with very little money and I give away samples to strengthen my customer base. I would love to have investors to carry my business to the next level therefore I could possibly reach more people and heal more as well. I offer soul work because it’s important as well to have your mind ready for the healing process to began. Consultations are also available. I’m excited to announce that I will be doing online classes starting in the next couple months to teach the knowledge that the Most High put in me, a how to class. I have very little funding but offering these would help me be able to continue my work.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The areas that were most impactful for me had to be faith, death, and knowledge. My reasoning is because these 3 have shaped my personal walk in life. In everything that i do I have to have faith. I have lost alot of important people in my life some back to back. Every time I hear of an health issue I go straight to study about it and come up with a regimen for the person but mainstream healthcare scares them into taking the pharmaceutical route. It’s sometimes ok when you have to take medicine prescribed but they can also be used alongside herbs to fortify the effectiveness. Knowledge is the beginning of wisdom. We have to educate ourselves to be better equipped to handle a crisis when there is no help around. It’s pertinent that we have knowledge to sustain ourselves in a time of need. Especially our health. Health is definitely wealth and it’s important to establish a routine in healing ourselves by ourselves. When I first started the journey I didn’t know why the Most High choose me and it was very hard to learn everything that I know now. It was times that I wanted to give up and quit but I kept going because it was dire that I did. You are going to lose sleep, money, time and sometimes it might seem like you lost your mind to some people but don’t give up! When you start to heal on your own terms you are definitely looked at as strange. I’ve been doing this for over 14 years and I can remember my mother seeing me heal my aunt of a cough she had for weeks in 2 days using herbs. When I offered her the same remedy she called it witches brew! It never fazed me to stop because I knew that what I was destined for was worth the wait and here I am today!

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
Me and my children have been through some really challenging times. From being homeless to barley surviving. My son who was recently almost unalived by a terriost attack on January 1st 2025 in New Orleans and in that attack lost his beautiful friend Nikyra Dedeaux and losing my entire 52 tinctures and all of my products it has been a real challenge to come back from the flames of life situations. But I am a survivor of adversity and setbacks. So most of my business is done to order right now. I plan to overcome by prayer first and determination next. I’m looking for investors while the alternative healing market is not only going up due to the need of the people but also because it’s much safer. I feel as if the opportunities such as this continue to come that more people can learn how to DIY at home to also heal themselves and others. Healing comes in many forms and the mustard seed has been planted and I am excited to see it grow!
