Meet Charise Spencer

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Charise Spencer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Charise, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I developed confidence by stepping outside of my comfort zone and simply showing up. Giving myself credit to be in this space and also making sure I’m happy with Me. From to what I consume to what I put out. It all makes me feel good.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Hey y’all I’m Charise and years ago I decided to quit my job after coming from Las Vegas. I was so happy within and this particular job made me feel less than EVERYDAY. I didn’t have a plan B but I knew I was always a creative, a boss lol… becoming a Loctician was more than doing hair. I meet so many people, and I’m trusted to make them look good and feel better. Rooted in confidence was the perfect name. It speaks volumes.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Staying true to myself and my work. Not focusing on what others are doing. Realizing there’s many doing the same but we are not the same lol. Some advice I’d give is to stay in your lane. Remain in control of what you’re called to do. The rest will follow.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I take a day to relax. A beach visit always recharges me. Taking time for yourself is imperative. We must be able to pour from something, not an empty cup.
