We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Charles Wallace a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Charles, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
When you love what you do, its never work. I love creating, letting my imagination run free & see where my visions take me. doing it for any amount of time is relative. Time really flies when having fun, minutes feel like hours & hours feel like minutes. You really get your work ethic from the indescribable feeling of finishing a project you started, seeing how you turned nothing to something. I know every person who’s ever started a project, in the beginning feeling lost & uncertain all the way to being finished, more knowledgeable, proud of self & overall satisfied. Im sure they can relate to that moment & feeling

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
3 impactful skills when it comes to creating is. Patience, never rushing your own progress. Consistency, keep creating. Lastly, integrity, trusting & believing in yourself, creating & staying in your own lane is always the best route. Think longterm over shortcuts that will burn out fast.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Always want to connect & create with anyone who has their own vision. Creatives who think outside the box, move on their own dial. Models, actors, artist, writers, everyone. Most importantly people who are authentic & pushing the culture of craft, not biting or repurposing whats been done before and calling something else or their own.
