Can you talk to us about your journey and how you were able to overcome the challenges related to mental issues? “Throughout my life, I have faced various challenges related to mental health issues. However, I have developed several strategies to overcome and persist despite these challenges. Firstly, I pray continuously and prioritize self-care as my daily routine. This includes maintaining a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, practicing mindfulness and meditation, and ensuring I get enough rest.

I have built a strong support system around me. I have surrounded myself with understanding and empathetic friends and family who provide a safe space for me to express my feelings and concerns. Their support and encouragement have been instrumental in my journey.

Lastly, I have educated myself about mental health and actively work to reduce the stigma surrounding it. By sharing my experiences and advocating for mental health awareness through my online ministry “Praise In Pajamas” I hope to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for others facing similar challenges.

Overall, my ability to overcome challenges stems from a combination of self-care, a strong support system, and a commitment to raising awareness. These strategies have allowed me to develop resilience and continue moving forward in both my personal and professional life.”

Looking back, I believe that the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been most impactful:

1. Resilience: Developing resilience has been crucial in overcoming challenges and setbacks. It is important to cultivate a mindset that embraces failures as learning opportunities and to bounce back stronger. Building resilience can be achieved through self-reflection, seeking support from others, and practicing self-care.

Advice: To develop resilience, I recommend focusing on self-care practices such as exercise, mindfulness, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, seek out personal help and development resources such as books, podcasts, or workshops that can help you build resilience skills.

2. Continuous Learning: Embracing a mindset of continuous learning has been instrumental in my journey. Hone your craft and do your due diligence! Being open to new ideas, seeking knowledge, and staying curious has allowed me to adapt to changing circumstances and grow both personally and professionally. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and never stop seeking new knowledge and skills.

3. Emotional Intelligence: Developing emotional intelligence has been invaluable in navigating relationships, managing conflicts, and understanding myself and others better. Emotional intelligence involves self-awareness, empathy, and effective communication skills.
