We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chase Meade. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chase below.
Chase, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Confidence wasn’t something I was born with—it was something I had to build, piece by piece.
Growing up, I struggled deeply with depression and anxiety. Doubt and inadequacy clouded my thoughts, and I didn’t see a path forward. I had no plan, no sense of purpose, and no belief in myself. I was completely lost.
Then I found the gym. As cliché as it may sound, it became my sanctuary. It was the first place where my effort directly translated into results. A place where consistency, goal-setting, and long-term thinking mattered. When I had no map for life, fitness gave me direction. And with every small victory—every rep, every milestone—something else started to grow: confidence.
Confidence in my ability to overcome.
Confidence in my strength—in the gym and in life.
Confidence to show up, speak up, and step into my own potential.
What started as a way to survive became the foundation for everything I would go on to build. Over the years, I transformed from an anxious 100-pound boy into a confident 190-pound man. The discipline and relationships I gained through fitness gave me something I never had before: belief in myself—and a burning desire to help others find the same.
At 19, I set a goal to one day open my own gym. Now, a decade later, I’m living that dream as the sole owner of Coreplex Fitness, the third evolution of my personal training journey.
None of this would have been possible without the confidence I built through fitness. It shaped me into the man I am today—and it continues to drive my mission to help others transform their lives the same way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
2024 turned out to be one of the most unforgettable years of my life. My wife and I welcomed our first child, and I finally opened my dream gym—Coreplex Fitness. It was a whirlwind, both personally and professionally, but an incredibly fulfilling one.
Now, my son is 14 months old, and Coreplex has been thriving for the past 8 months. This gym has been a vision of mine for over 10 years, and seeing it come to life has been nothing short of surreal. Today, we have a passionate team of 7 personal trainers and 1 physical therapist—all united by a shared mission: to help others grow, heal, and thrive.
Helping people progress has always been at the heart of what I do. Whether you’re 6 or 95, our team is here to guide you. With decades of combined experience, we’ve created an environment where our passion for health and wellness meets every person who walks through our doors.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience—these three qualities shaped my entire journey.
Strong interpersonal skills are at the foundation of everything I’ve accomplished. The ability to connect, communicate, and build meaningful relationships opened doors I never could have walked through alone. Many of the people who became vital to my success entered my life because of this.
Patience became another critical trait. In a world driven by instant gratification, it’s easy to expect immediate progress. But real growth—especially in your career—takes time. It took me a full decade to reach the point of opening my own gym. Ten years of consistent effort, of showing up even on the hardest days.
And that’s where resilience comes in—the most important quality I developed. I’ve faced plenty of challenges, both personal and professional. Life threw curveballs, but I never let them stop me. I kept showing up. I prioritized my clients, often putting their needs ahead of my own. That relentless drive, that refusal to quit, is what ultimately led me to achieve my dream.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
For a long time, I tried to smooth out every rough edge, chasing the idea of a perfect version of myself—a version of Chase without weakness. I believed I could master every aspect of the business on my own, thinking that if I trained hard enough, I could become great at everything.
But in doing so, I lost sight of what made me truly effective. I spread myself too thin, becoming average at new skills while unintentionally dulling my greatest strengths. It wasn’t until I began relying on the strengths of others that I understood the real power of teamwork.
By trusting my partners and leaning into their expertise, I was able to double down on what I do best. That shift changed everything. When we learn to trust those around us, we not only elevate ourselves—we create something far stronger together than we ever could alone.
Go all in on your strengths and help those around you to go all in on theirs.
