Meet Chava Floryn

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chava Floryn. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chava below.

Chava, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

Creativity is the driving force of life itself. I truly believe that every moment offers a chance to connect with this creative energy, and it’s in those moments that magic unfolds. Creativity thrives in the present—in noticing the small wonders that surround us. For me, there are three key elements that keep my creativity alive:
1. Staying curious and open to the world.
2. Understanding that this life force is meant to serve the greater good, not just for personal gain.
3. Recognizing that creativity is what propels us forward, preventing us from sinking into stagnation or resignation.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

**Empowering Resilience Through Film, Writing, and Healing: My Journey**

Hi, I’m Chava. As a filmmaker, author, singer-songwriter, podcast host, and transformational strategist, my work is deeply rooted in helping others navigate crisis, expand their perspectives, and cultivate emotional resilience. Over the years, I’ve blended my passions for creativity, healing, and leadership development to offer tools that promote self-awareness, growth, and transformation.

**A Bestseller and a Guide to Overcoming Crisis**

My bestselling book, *Everything’s Gonna Be Ok*, is a personal journey I took in order to help others find hope in their own struggles. It’s written from the heart, offering a first-person narrative that walks readers through crisis with honesty and vulnerability. In the book, I share my own experiences and insights, providing actionable tools for anyone going through difficult times. The goal is simple: to help you shift your perspective and tap into your inner strength so that you can not only survive but thrive through challenging moments. It’s my belief that everything—no matter how hard—can lead us to greater growth and understanding, and that’s the core message I hope readers take with them.

**Shining a Light on Mental Health through Cinema**

My latest film, *Resilient*, is a project that’s incredibly close to my heart. This documentary explores Israel’s mental health crisis following the devastating events of October 7th. It dives into how the Israeli population is navigating this crisis, with a special focus on the effects of PTSD. Through real stories and firsthand accounts, I wanted to highlight both the pain and the incredible resilience of a nation dealing with trauma. I’ve always believed that storytelling can spark understanding and compassion, and with *Resilient*, my aim was to bring attention to the healing process—showing that even in the darkest times, there is hope for recovery and growth.

**Transforming Leadership and Personal Growth**

Beyond my creative work, I also wear the hat of a somatic healer and transformational strategist. I’ve worked with individuals and business leaders, guiding them through mindful meditation workshops and one-on-one sessions designed to foster emotional resilience and self-mastery. Through somatic healing, I help people connect with their bodies and emotions, recognizing the deep link between physical sensations and mental well-being. I’ve found that when we can be fully present in the moment, we unlock a greater sense of clarity, productivity, and self-awareness. This approach is something I bring to my work with leaders, empowering them to embrace growth, improve their focus, and ultimately lead with a sense of purpose and balance.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: I want to help others find their own resilience, embrace growth, and create lives filled with meaning. Whether through the written word, the lens of a camera, or through transformative healing practices, I am committed to guiding you toward a place of emotional strength and empowerment.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

**The Three Qualities That Transformed My Journey**

Looking back on my journey, there are three key qualities that have had the most profound impact on my life. These qualities have shaped who I am today and continue to guide me as I evolve. They have been essential in helping me navigate the challenges, setbacks, and breakthroughs along the way.

**1. Self-Regulation and Emotional Awareness**

The first and most significant shift in my journey was learning how to self-regulate by becoming more in tune with my emotional system and how it aligns with my body. As a Pisces, I’m naturally a highly emotional person, and I tend to pick up on the emotions and experiences of others. While this gift allows me to connect deeply with people, it can also be overwhelming. I often found myself flooded with the intensity of everyone’s energy, which made it difficult to navigate my own emotions.

Learning the skills to self-regulate has been the biggest game-changer in my life. It’s been the ultimate “flex” in my personal growth, allowing me to find balance and clarity even in chaotic moments. Dr. Joan Rosenberg, author of *90 Seconds to a Life You Love*, has been my guide in this process. Her teachings on emotional mastery and her empowering approach to embracing difficult emotions have been foundational to my work today. I am forever grateful for her insights, which have transformed how I navigate my emotional landscape.

**2. The Power of Creativity and Resilience**

Creativity has also been a driving force in my life. As a lifelong creative, I’ve faced my fair share of setbacks, failures, and moments of doubt. But it’s through those challenges and pivots that I’ve experienced the greatest “aha” moments. Each setback became an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow. Over time, I’ve come to understand that there are no problems, only solutions waiting to emerge.

This mindset has made me more resilient and self-reliant. Creativity is not just a skill for me—it’s a way of life. It’s in the act of creation that I’ve learned to trust myself, embrace uncertainty, and continue to move forward, even when the path seems unclear.

**3. Spiritual Alignment and Connection to My Higher Power**

The third and perhaps most profound shift I’ve made is in my spiritual practice. Aligning myself with my Higher Power has been a continuous journey, and it’s something I continue to develop every day. Through meditation, prayer, study, and music, I’ve found ways to connect deeply with my soul’s journey. This spiritual practice has become my anchor, guiding me through every high and low.

It’s in these moments of connection—whether through quiet reflection, a song I write that resonates, or a prayer I whisper that brings clarity—that I find my true compass. My spiritual practice helps me align with my higher purpose and gives me the strength to move forward with intention and grace.

**Conclusion**

These three qualities—self-regulation, creativity, and spiritual alignment—have been the cornerstones of my personal and professional growth. They’ve shaped my approach to life, my work, and my ability to navigate the ups and downs of the human experience. As I continue on this journey, I remain committed to deepening these practices and sharing the wisdom I’ve gained along the way. Each day is an opportunity to become more in tune with myself, to create from a place of resilience, and to align with my higher power. And I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

**Partnering to Inspire Resilience and Creativity in the Workplace**

Right now, I’m focused on partnering with companies that are committed to helping their employees stay resilient, emotionally regulated, and creatively engaged. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy for burnout and stress to take hold, but I believe that with the right tools and mindset, we can equip individuals to face challenges with strength, clarity, and creativity.

I’m looking to collaborate with visionary leaders and organizations that are passionate about inspiring their communities and fostering resilient thinking. I’ve spent a lot of time in the wellness space, creating curriculum that supports emotional well-being, creativity, and personal growth, and I’d love the opportunity to continue sharing these teachings with a broader audience. Whether it’s through workshops, lectures, or one-on-one coaching, I am deeply committed to helping others tap into their inner resilience and stay creatively engaged in all that they do.

Additionally, I’m seeking distribution opportunities for my film, *Resilient*, so that more people can understand the transformative power of healing. The film explores the ways in which individuals in Israel have navigated immense challenges, and one of the key lessons we learned is the importance of embracing community, faith, and collective song in the healing process. In Israel, they believe that to remain spiritually connected, you must share your gifts with others. This idea has had a profound impact on me, and it’s something I incorporate into my own work—giving away my gifts to help others fill their own cups.

As a speaker, musician, and author, I am eager to continue giving back and sharing my experiences with others. My goal is to collaborate with companies that are not only interested in cultivating resilience and emotional well-being but are also dedicated to creating a positive, empowering culture that can ripple out into communities at large. If you’re looking for someone to inspire your team, foster creativity, and guide them through emotional growth, I would love to partner with you and help take your vision to the next level.

Let’s work together to create meaningful change and continue spreading the healing power of community, faith, and creativity.
