Meet Chef Eddie G

We recently connected with Chef Eddie G and have shared our conversation below.

Chef Eddie G , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
Growing up in a Catholic household and attending private school taught me to be compassionate and helpful to other human beings. After Catholic school I attended Johnson & Wales Culinary University where I learned the power of food in helping others. I believe this is what started my journey of being generous and giving back whenever possible….

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am fortunate enough to be invited to cook at some of the world’s most exclusive events. From Food & Wine Festivals around the globe to star studded events surrounding the Super Bowl, I have been called in to coordinate food service and insure the events run smoothly and efficiently.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three most important traits for success in the food service industry is 1. Cleanliness
2. Consistency
3. Be on time ….

Always give 110% ….. always !

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Anthony Bourdain ” No Reservations ” is by far one of my favorite culinary reads. He describes the ins and outs of our industry while incorporating life story’s and events that any kitchen veteran can relate too. He was everything a chef should be …
