Meet Chella Levesque

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chella Levesque a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Chella, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

In my professional journey, I have encountered imposter syndrome, which often made me doubt my abilities, achievements and overall inadequacy at being at the “big kids table”. At the time I did not know that what I was experiencing was imposter syndrome and to overcome this it didn’t happen over night but over years of growth work. I adopted several strategies that helped me gain confidence & grow.
First and foremost, I started asking questions whenever I felt uncertain. By acknowledging that I didn’t know everything and actively seeking answers, I transformed those moments of self doubt into valuable learning opportunities. I made it a point to communicate openly with my colleagues/partners/clients, letting them know when I needed clarification. This not only helped me learn but also fostered a collaborative environment.
I also embraced the idea that it’s perfectly okay to not have all the answers immediately. Instead of feeling defeated, I focused on the goal of finding the information I needed. This mindset shift allowed me to approach challenges with curiosity & an opportunity to learn instead of fear.
Celebrating my successes, no matter how small, became a crucial part of my journey. Taking time to acknowledge my achievements helped reinforce my self-worth and countered feelings of inadequacy. Reflecting on what I had accomplished reminded me of my capabilities.
Additionally, I worked on reframing my mindset. Instead of viewing challenges & unknowns as threats, I started seeing them as personal & professional growth opportunities. This perspective change was instrumental in boosting my confidence and resilience.
Learning from my team/partners has been another key aspect of my development. I surrounded myself with people who are experts in their fields, and I took every opportunity to learn from them. This not only helped me grow but also reinforced the idea that collaboration is a strength, not a weakness.
In summary, by asking questions, celebrating my achievements, reframing my mindset, and surrounding myself with knowledgeable individuals, I have not only overcome imposter syndrome but also developed a more positive and proactive approach to my career.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three most important qualities that have helped me:
1. Be Bold – have the courage to do bold things and take chances. I quit a job that was unfulfilling on a Friday and launched my agency the following Monday.
2. Always follow your instinct
3. Work with people that inspire you to be better

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always looking to collaborate with like-minded brands and people. Influencers, brand partnerships, brand ambassadors across all sectors.
