We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chellz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chellz below.
Hi Chellz, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
For a long time, I felt stuck. I couldn’t quite figure out why some of the things I had once poured my energy into didn’t excite me anymore. I was working, creating, and showing up, but deep down, I felt drained. I had always gone back and forth between hair and photography, but over time, photography began to take the lead. The more I created hair content, the more I realized it wasn’t just about styling hair anymore; it was the act of creating the content and visual storytelling that I enjoyed the most. I still create hair content from time to time, but photography began to take center stage. The excitement I felt capturing people’s stories and seeing their reactions made me realize this was where my purpose truly lived.
Photography gave me a feeling I couldn’t ignore. Every time I captured a client’s vision, the laughter, the confidence, the moment when they saw themselves in a new light, I felt excitement rushing through me. Hearing clients say, “Wow, I look so beautiful!” or “You captured exactly what I wanted!” – those reactions filled me with pride and purpose because it wasn’t just about taking photos, it was about helping people feel confident, seen, and celebrated.
It hasn’t been easy. Moving to a new state meant starting over completely, building my business from scratch, and figuring out where I fit in a new community. There were moments of self-doubt, days when things didn’t go as planned, and seasons where the results weren’t immediate. But I learned to stay optimistic through it all. I leaned on affirmations, my circle of supporters, and a mindset that told me, “It’s okay if today didn’t work out. Tomorrow is another chance to make it better.” I also had to adopt tunnel vision, prioritizing my craft, my learning, and my growth while blocking out distractions. Purpose takes discipline, and I was willing to put in the work because I finally knew where I was headed.
Today, my purpose is clear: to help entrepreneurs, creatives, and purpose-driven individuals show up with confidence and clarity, capturing modern icons at every stage of their evolution. Whether it’s building a brand or celebrating a milestone, I want my work to help people be seen, feel confident, and stand out on camera and beyond.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Through my photography business, L. Visions Photography, I help entrepreneurs, creatives, and purpose-driven individuals show up with confidence and clarity. My goal is to create clean, intentional portraits that capture each person’s unique style, story, and personality. The process is personal and collaborative: we start with a conversation to explore your vision and goals, then build a brand board so your shoot feels aligned with who you are. Growing up around my dad’s photography business and being trained in modeling and acting gave me a well-rounded perspective both behind and in front of the camera. Right now, I’m offering branding and portrait sessions at a special rate and will be part of The Glass House Open House in San Antonio on November 30th, 2025, with exclusive offers. Looking ahead, I hope to open a creative studio where photographers, entrepreneurs, and creatives can bring ideas to life, collaborate, and connect in a supportive community.
Alongside photography, my lifestyle brand, @CallMeChellz, shares my personal journey, hair and beauty content, empowering messages, affirmations, and self-care tips. It’s a space to inspire confidence, celebrate individuality, and encourage people to show up authentically for themselves.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are confidence, creativity, and adaptability. Confidence helped me show up fully both in front of and behind the camera. Creativity allowed me to develop a unique perspective for my photography and lifestyle work, and adaptability made it possible to navigate new opportunities and blend different skills like modeling, acting, and photography into one cohesive brand.
For anyone starting out, my advice is to build confidence by diving in and gaining experience, nurture creativity by exploring and experimenting, and stay adaptable by embracing change and learning along the way. Growth comes from taking risks, learning from each step, and staying true to your vision.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes! I’m always open to collaborating with fellow creatives, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven individuals who are passionate about telling their story, building their brand, or creating meaningful content. I’m especially excited to work with photographers, stylists, models, small business owners, or anyone looking to bring their vision to life or even if you’re simply looking for professional headshots.
If you’re interested in collaborating, the best way to connect is through my Instagram accounts @LVisionsPhotography for photography projects or @CallMeChellz for lifestyle and creative collaborations. I love connecting with people who are creative, authentic, and motivated to make something special together.
