We were lucky to catch up with Chelsea Lee recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Chelsea, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
My purpose found me through dreams—both the ones I slept with at night and the ones I dared to imagine during the day. But it was my mentors who truly helped me recognize and claim it.
One of the most pivotal moments was meeting Robert Moss. His teachings opened up whole new worlds for me, and when he shared my dream story in one of his books, it created a ripple effect that I’m still feeling today. His suggestion that I follow the path of dreamwork planted a deep seed. Then came Kelly Sullivan Walden—my biggest cheerleader and dream hype girl. Her belief in me has been unwavering, and I’m forever grateful for her encouragement and radiant support.
I was also guided to the practice of Yoga Nidra, and to my teacher Indu Arora. Indu’s teachings awakened a new level of being in me—one rooted in rest, presence, and inner wisdom. And I’m endlessly thankful to my local yoga teacher and friend, Stacy VanOrnum, who held space for me to begin sharing my light and offerings with our community.
Another beautiful turning point was what I call my crystal harp miracle—a moment where the Universe delivered a harp to me in the most unexpected and divine way. That crystal harp became the key to my sound healing journey and continues to guide my work in vibrational healing and sacred rest.
More recently, my heart was deeply stirred by the work of Perdita Finn and her book Taking Back the Magic. Her mentorship and words reawakened my relationship with the unseen—especially with ancestors, the dead, and the sacred mysteries—and gave me a deeper language for what I’ve always felt but didn’t yet have words for.
At the core of it all, dreams have always been calling me. I’ve always paid attention to them, been eager to share them, and loved hearing others talk about theirs. My mentors acted as sacred mirrors. They each reflected back to me my inner gold—my gifts, light, and path—and reminded me who I truly am. That reflection helped me step into my purpose as a dreamwork practitioner, space holder, and guide.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Chelsea Lee, also known as The Lionhearted Dreamer—a dreamwork practitioner, sacred space holder, and sound healer devoted to helping others reconnect with their inner wisdom, the language of dreams, and the power of deep rest.
My work weaves together intuitive dream exploration, one-on-one readings, group ceremonies, and sound healing with my beloved crystal harp. I guide others in remembering how to receive messages from the dreamworld, how to rest as a radical act of healing, and how to reclaim their voice, their inner gold, and their sacred stories.
What feels most special to me is that every offering—whether it’s a Dream Reading, a Yoga Nidra + Sound Healing session, or a dream circle—is rooted in authenticity, gentleness, and deep listening. This work is not about fixing anyone. It’s about remembering. Awakening. Coming home.
Right now, I’m especially excited about a few things unfolding:
My 20-minute Mini Dream Readings (just $20), where dreamers send in a voice recording of their dream, and I respond with an intuitive audio reflection.
My in-person Deep Rest experiences at The Yoga Branch Studios and other sacred spaces around the Midwest.
And something very close to my heart: I’m currently writing my first book, which shares my personal dream path and the spiritual tools I’ve cultivated to support others on theirs.
My brand is a reflection of my soul—dreamy, heartfelt, filled with lion courage, and reverence for the unseen. Whether someone connects with me for one session or walks the longer dream path with me, I want them to feel seen, heard, and empowered to trust their own intuition.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Listening Deeply
Learning how to truly listen—to dreams, to the body, to intuition, and to the quiet spaces in between—has been one of the most important skills on my path. Deep listening isn’t just about hearing words. It’s about attuning to symbols, sensations, synchronicities, and soul whispers.
Advice: Start by giving yourself time and space to slow down. Keep a dream journal. Practice sitting in silence. Trust that the more you listen, the more life will speak to you in meaningful, magical ways.
Courage to Follow the Unseen
Much of my journey has been guided by what can’t be seen with the eyes—dreams, callings, spirit nudges, and divine timing. Trusting the unseen required building courage, faith, and a willingness to move before I had the full map.
Advice: Don’t wait for clarity to be perfect before taking a step. Let your heart lead. Trust the mystery. The path reveals itself with each brave step you take.
Sacred Support + Mentorship
I would not be where I am without the mentors who reflected my light back to me—Robert Moss, Kelly Sullivan Walden, Indu Arora, and Perdita Finn. Each one saw something in me I was only just beginning to see in myself.
Advice: Find guides, communities, or even books that resonate with your soul. Let yourself be supported. Let yourself be witnessed. And when you’re ready, become that mirror for someone else.
The journey is rarely linear—but it is always sacred. Honor your own timing, and trust that you’re being led exactly where you need to go.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who is curious about the inner world—someone who senses there’s meaning beneath the surface of their dreams, emotions, and life experiences, even if they don’t fully understand it yet. They may be going through a transition, craving deeper rest, or feeling called to reconnect with their intuition and spiritual self.
They don’t need to be experts in dreamwork or meditation—they just need to be open. Open to slowing down. Open to mystery. Open to remembering. I especially love working with sensitive souls, creatives, spiritual seekers, and those who’ve always felt a connection to the unseen, even if they were unsure how to name it.
My work is a good fit for anyone who’s looking for a safe, sacred space to be witnessed, to receive gentle reflection, and to reconnect with their own inner guidance—whether through a single dream reading, a sound + rest journey, or a deeper season of soul tending.
