We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chelsea Rose Cook. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chelsea Rose below.
Chelsea Rose, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Developing my confidence and self-esteem was a long, arduous, but ultimately rewarding journey. It has spanned nearly a decade by now, and it involved a lot of trial and error. Ultimately, showing up for myself again and again – even when things felt hopeless or directionless – was the key to building that confidence little by little.
It’s hard to summarize this journey because there were truly so many components to it, but here were some key things that made a difference:
1. Reading a LOT of books in the realm of self-esteem, self-development, metaphysics, feminine energy, and rewiring the brain.
2. Being willing to take risks and always finding a way to make a failure or rejection into a lesson.
3. Daily affirmations which turned into finding proof of those affirmations throughout my life (this is an amazing technique that I utilize personally and also in my UNSHAKEABLE program for actors)
4. Learning to love all of me, the good and the bad, even on my worst days. When you can learn to see yourself at your “worst” and still hype yourself up in the mirror, then you become very powerful and unshakeable in your self-concept.
Overall, I would just say to start somewhere – even if it’s just saying one nice thing to yourself in the mirror every day until you start to believe. Repetition creates patterns, which turn into habits, which turn into a lifestyle.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I help actors overcome their self-doubt and tap into their innate self-worth in order to build an unshakeable mindset of resilience and confidence. This is accomplished through one-on-one sessions that involve a mix of deep conversation, practical advice, metaphysical work, and actionable post-session homework.
What I find most special about this program is that it fills a gap in the current marketplace for actor training. We see tons of courses for acting craft, audition technique, self-tape setup, networking, etc…but this is all based on external factors. What about the internal?
That is the question that my UNSHAKEABLE program for actors really seeks to answer. When my clients work with me, we get to the root of what makes their self-worth feel shaky or incomplete. Then, we start the deep work to heal and rewrite the story so that they can get back to trusting themselves, enjoying their passion, and booking like they’re meant to.
Now, you may be wondering: how do I even know that this works? Well, I know because I’ve used my methods on myself!
As an actress who’s been in Los Angeles for over half a decade, I’ve experienced the rollercoaster that is this volatile industry. When I first moved here, I was constantly spinning my wheels, questioning my abilities and talent, and burning myself out over and over because I didn’t feel like I was “good enough” to say no to any auditions or work – no matter how misaligned they felt.
In order to really get to a place where I felt more than good enough, it took years of doing deep inner work, intentionally building up my confidence, learning how to trust my choices, and giving myself the validation that I craved (instead of seeking it from external sources).
Now, I feel incredibly worthy and I trust in the pace of my journey; and this sense of innate worth and faith led to back-to-back bookings. That is how I know that this work, works.
I’m planning to do a free challenge around the holidays to provide a taste of the UNSHAKEABLE method, so I encourage anyone interested in learning more to sign up for emails on my website: www.theunshakeableactor.carrd.co

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
It’s tough to choose just three, but here is what comes to mind: Tenacity, Resilience, and Faith.
1. Tenacity: Defined as persistent determination, this is the ability to stick with a goal and refuse to give up despite difficulties, obstacles, or opposition. If you want to live your desired life and make an impact in this world, tenacity is key.
2. Resilience: This goes hand-in-hand with tenacity because it’s the ability to adapt, cope, and bounce back from stress, adversity, trauma, and misfortune – all while keeping a positive mindset. You’re going to hear the word “no” a lot when you’re going after your dreams, and resilience helps you hold on for that beautiful “yes”.
3. Faith: This doesn’t have to be religious. In this case, “faith” means you have this deep-seated, unshakeable belief that things will work out for you in the end. Whether this comes from a spiritual place or just something you feel within you, hold onto it!

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One of the books that started me on this journey of deeply understanding and loving myself would have to be The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. This is a book that I believe everyone can benefit from reading, even if to simply challenge how they see the world and navigate it. The four agreements are as follows:
1. Be impeccable with your word
2. Don’t take anything personally
3. Don’t make assumptions
4. Always do your best
While these agreements sound simple on paper, they are actually challenging to truly put into practice every day. However, if you commit to the work, it can radically change your worldview and empower you to see how life is working FOR you, not against you. And once you are no longer in a victim or “woe is me” mindset, you become exponentially more powerful.
