We recently connected with Chelsea Thatcher and have shared our conversation below.
Chelsea, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Creativity is like the ebb and flow of the ocean’s tides. At times, it’s a powerful wave crashing into the shoreline, carrying with it a rush of artistic ideas and inspiration. During these moments of high tide, it’s easy to get swept away in the flow of creativity. I embrace these moments and simply go with the flow. But, there are also times when the tide is low, and tapping into one’s creative source can feel like a challenge. To combat this, I like to experiment with different methods for sparking my imagination. Whether it’s taking a walk in nature, picking up a new hobby, reading a book, or simply breaking away from my routine, I find that these activities help to rekindle my creative flame. Additionally, surrounding myself with other creative individuals and exposing myself to a diverse range of art forms helps to keep my creativity thriving and inspired.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At The Retrograde Shop, our mission is to make a difference by empowering women one connection at a time. I am Chelsea, the artist and owner of the shop, and I have been running this passion project since 2018. I am deeply passionate about crystals, good vibes, and all things cosmic, and I believe that the power of love can change the world. This belief drives me to create products that help people find love within themselves so they can share it with others and make the world a better place.
The Retrograde Shop offers a wide range of products that are designed to uplift and guide you on your spiritual journey. From crystal jewelry and meditation tools to natural beauty supplies, I have everything you need to find your inner peace and connect with your higher self.
I am particularly excited about the transformative power of my products and how they help people on their journey to self-discovery and happiness. I am proud to say that my products are not only aesthetically pleasing but also have a deeper purpose and meaning.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on my journey, I believe that the three most impactful qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge were the ability to pivot instead of giving up, keeping an open mind to learning new things, and understanding the power of building relationships within your niche.
The ability to pivot instead of giving up has allowed me to adapt to changes and overcome obstacles. This is especially important in today’s rapidly changing world. It’s crucial to be flexible and have the courage to try new things and pivot when necessary.
Keeping an open mind to learning new things has been crucial in my personal and professional growth. It has allowed me to expand my knowledge and stay current with the latest trends and developments in my field. My advice for those who are early in their journey is to never stop learning. Whether it’s through books, workshops, or online courses, continuously educate yourself and seek out new experiences.
Finally, never underestimate the power of building relationships within your niche. You don’t have to compete with everyone; partnerships will help you grow and succeed. Building a strong network of relationships and collaborations within your industry can lead to new opportunities and help you to achieve your goals. My advice is to always be friendly and approachable, and to invest time in nurturing these relationships.
In conclusion, these three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been instrumental in my journey, and I believe they can be impactful for others as well. The key is to embrace change, continuously learn, and build strong relationships.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I am definitely looking for folks to partner or collaborate with! I love making new friends and collaborating on new projects. I am always looking for ways to grow my “Vibe Tribe” and connect with like-minded individuals.
I am specifically looking for content creators who can help spread the word about The Retrograde Shop and the unique products we offer. If you are a content creator with a passion for crystals, good vibes, and all things cosmic, I would love to hear from you!
I am also interested in partnering with other brands in this space to create exciting new product collaborations for my 2023 collection. If you are a brand that shares similar values and a passion for spirituality, self-discovery, and creating a better world, I would love to explore the possibility of working together.
If you’re reading this and would like to collaborate or learn more about what I do, you can connect with me through my website, www.Retrograde.Shop, or by sending me an email at hello@retrograde.shop. I look forward to connecting with you!
