Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chéna Verony. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chéna, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Being creative means allowing myself to be a dreamer. Keeping it alive means taking action. The best way for me to keep my creativity alive is when I’m outside admiring and listening to the sound of nature. I love to go on long walks and refresh my mind as I’m searching for new and unique ideas.
Another way of keeping my creativity alive is when I’m on a movie set collaborating with industry professionals. Making new friends and sharing thoughts in order to create something remarkable together is truly rewarding for me.
I also find that when I’m creating my own content for social media, I get really excited and inspired, especially when I read the audience’s positive feedback.
I’m always open for new challenges as they bring countless possibilities for improvement and once I garner momentum I thrive around other creatives and that for me is so exciting.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are: DISCIPLINE, PATIENCE and AMBITION.
DISCIPLINE was always very important for me, because I like to plan the day ahead and make sure I follow through. I am a perfectionist and I need to finish what I start no matter how complicated things get throughout the day, the week the month or the year. Having a plan in this game is key, starting from the business side of acting to the smallest details of on camera movements.
PATIENCE taught me the best things I could ever learn about the work life balance. I realized that things don’t always go our way. I try to be patient, because as an actor there are glory days when we are on a roll and book a couple projects a week, but then there’s the silence, the down time, that challenges our patience and choices. These are the times when I love to focus on the small things, the beauty of this incredible journey. During this down time I love to workout, I go to Kickboxing and Krav Maga trainings, I connect with new talented people, I create my own content on social media, I read a lot of self development books, I love to cook a good meal, stay positive and enjoy the journey.
AMBITION is when I constantly put myself out there without looking back. I am grateful for every person and project that comes my way. However, when opportunities are not presenting themselves I create my own content, I’m writing scripts, I help and collaborate with other creators.
My best advice at the moment for new creators is to stay positive, consistent, believe in yourselves, know that if you put in the effort you’ll achieve the life you’ve always been dreaming of.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking forward to collaborating with new creatives. I would love to connect and partner with writers, producers, filmmakers, directors and actors. I’d like to build a team and make films together to bring powerful stories to life and enhance our community by creating more opportunities for passionate artists.
