We were lucky to catch up with Chichi Iwuorie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Chichi, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience used to be a foreign concept to me. I wanted to understand what it truly meant, and how to harness its power. But resilience wasn’t a book I could read or a class I could take – it was an experience birthed from the fires of life.
My parents were the first to show me its essence. Witnessing their relentless pursuit of success was a masterclass in perseverance. They juggled work, raising a family, handling finances, and going to school – the weight of their dreams under constant pressure. There must have been moments when they felt like giving up like their goals would forever remain just out of reach.
But they never did. Their strength in through countless challenges created a definition of resilience in me. It wasn’t until I embarked on my own ambitious journey that I grasped the meaning my parents had shown me. Six years on that path, and with each obstacle overcome, I’ve grown stronger and wiser with my faith in God.
Now I know, resilience is the key that unlocks the door to any dream worth chasing. It’s the compass that guides me through life’s storms and the overcoming spirit that helps me rise, again and again.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My world thrives on the dynamic energy of connection! By day, I’m a business development representative in the tech industry, a passionate advocate for building bridges between companies and the solutions they crave.
But when the workday fades, my creative side takes center stage. I’m currently a comedian and emcee, a master of ceremonies. The stage is my canvas, and I paint pictures with my voice, captivating audiences at parties and corporate events. The energy of the crowd fuels me and I enjoy lighting the room for enjoyment. It’s more than a job; it’s an artistic expression that lifts my spirit and brings joy.
My life’s a beautiful blend of logic and passion, the strategic mind of a BDR intertwined with the creative soul of a performer. It’s this unique mix that allows me to excel in both realms, bringing an enthusiastic energy to everything I do.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The journey towards dreams is a lifelong adventure, and mine is far from over! But looking back, three key qualities have become my compass: curiosity, grit, and resilience.
This path isn’t always smooth sailing. There are peaks and moments when doubt threatens to pull you under. It’s during these dips that you truly need all three. Curiosity fuels the fire to keep learning and exploring new avenues. Grit is your stubborn determination to push forward, even when the climb feels relentless. And resilience? That’s the armor that lets you bounce back stronger after every setback.
For those just setting out, here’s my advice: embrace patience! Growth takes time, so don’t get discouraged by setbacks. And most importantly, hold onto faith. There’s a power in believing in yourself and your dreams, a power that can surprise you. Remember, even the most breathtaking mountain views require a steady pace and a determined spirit. So keep climbing, keep learning, and never lose sight of the incredible journey itself.

Collaboration is the lifeblood of creativity, and I’m always on the lookout for inspiring connections.
