We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chloe W a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Chloe, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from my faith in my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Christianity is a journey allowing you to get to know your Maker, build your relationship with Him and to learn what He would do in your time of trouble – in other words, it helps you to become Christlike. Without my faith, I don’t think I would come this far with CWDesigns Studio.
After losing my previous design page in March 2024, the level of endurance I had to keep me moving forward is a testament of today’s achievements for my current design business. I never thought I would reach over 100k users on Instagram in the space of nearly 6 months.
My faith has really kept me going – it blurs out the noise of the secular environment, so that you can hear from God and be in alignment with Him. So far, I’m so happy to have achieved what I can.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the face behind CWDesigns Studio based in the U.K., having over fours years experience across brand development, graphic design, and marketing. Throughout this period, I’ve worked with over 300+ clients across numerous projects, have sold nearly 100+ digital products/e-books to help upcoming designers and business owners and helped other new designers in the industry through private mentorship and guidance under my wing. It’s truly been such an experience and I look forward to achieve a lot more for my business in the years to come.
My work spreads across these three areas, with a high focus towards brand development. My goal is to build a legacy for many fempreneurs, creating a strong brand to attract the high-paying clients, new target market and generate strong results for their business.
There are so many areas within my role that excites me, including the opportunity to develop a bespoke strategy plan for female business owners. Having a roadmap to building and executing a strong brand is crucial in a dynamic market, and my job is to help identify the gaps that my clients can take onboard for their business. It truly gives me joy to see my work being printed in real life, being featured in publications, magazines and shops – including billboards all the way in Africa!
Over the next coming months, I plan to increase the value in the packages provided for my clients through numerous assets and closer Strategy Calls to to strengthen their business.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The following qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are:
1) Determination:
Being an entrepreneur requires a lot of passion and drive for your work, and what you’re trying to build to live a financially-free life you desire. There will be slow periods – but these aren’t avoidable for everyone…it’s bound to happen! The question is…what are you going to do about this, and how will you act?
You can work on passion projects, repost or share projects that have been forgotten by your audience. You need to remind yourself the assignment that God has given to succeed.
2) Patience:
You want to be seen as the expert that businesses turn to…it doesn’t happen overnight, but it requires patience! You will need to get to know your journey and identify that there is a long road ahead. You have to be patient with yourself if you want to see the results.
3) Accepting failure:
A lot of people are stubborn to this and once upon a time, I was too. you have to accept that failure will come along your journey. You can have low revenue months, less clients than usual or even a failed project that never blew up. You need to learn exactly what to do once you’ve experienced that moment of failure. Do you give up or move forward? The choice is yours.
Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The Success Principles by Jack Canfield played a huge impact in my personal development – as a an entrepreneur, it’s important to invest in your own personal direction and knowledge and this book has allowed me to take myself from where I currently am, and get to where I want to be.
