Meet Chris Cade

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chris Cade a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Chris , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I love this question! As a believer in Christ, I have found that the only way to truly know your purpose is by asking the one that created you. I have discovered that many peoples’ purposes are a culmination of the lifestyles of others. This is why as a child the purpose I saw for my life changed so many times. I wanted to be a policer officer, an NBA player, an actor, a director, etc. I saw others doing it and said I want to do what they are doing. It wasn’t until I started getting closer to God that I discovered what He had for me. The beautiful thing was that I still want to do media, but now I have the confirmation I need to know that I won’t be neglecting the life I was supposed to live. Purpose is what drives us. It is what we live for. I wrote a book called “Identity: How to Stop Living Without A Purpose” because I wanted people to see just how important it is. I truly found mine by walking God’s path and not allowing the things that I wasn’t made for, to creep in and change that path.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Chris Cade also known as Chris vs. The World. I am a Kingdom Media Mogul. I am a Kingdom producer, music artist, actor, director, etc. When I talk about Kingdom, I am referring to the Kingdom of God. I look to create a Kingdom renaissance where there is more faith-based content for people to experience. The Kingdom music, clothing, art, etc will all be unique and widespread. I am so excited because I have been a Christian for a good bit of my life, but it was just recently that I discovered that I want to build a Kingdom Culture. I want the perspective of God to change. I want others to know that it isn’t religion, it is lifestyle. I am a music artist under WyzeHouse Collective and that is our main mission. We want to create music that lifts up God, but also allows people to dance and have a good time. I also want the movies I make to just be movies. They will be God-centered, but not just Christian movies. It will be real life with real solutions to the characters problems. It is not religion, it is reality. We have a Kingdom Expansion Concert coming up on February 24, 2024 and it will be just the beginning to what is to come with the movement.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say that the three most important skills would be communication, imagination, and your ability to find favor with others. I would say that communication is so important because it is how we connect with others. When you are great at communicating, you can go so many places and do so many things. Many times we see that a lack of communication can be your downfall. When you don’t communicate your message well or you don’t communicate plans well, your growth is greatly stunted. The people that are trying to help you won’t efficiently be able to help you. It will bring confusion. As far as imagination, this is very important as well. I have seen so many people throw out imagination and label it as “childish.” What we have to realize is that every car, phone, sandwich, book, etc. started out as an idea. The planning began in the imagination and continues in the imagination. Even when the idea has become a physical manifestation, the creator is always thinking about ways to improve the idea. Never stop spending time in your imagination. The imagination is the start of every great idea. Last, but not least is finding favor with others. I have seen someone get an opportunity that they were the least qualified for because they had favor with the one that was providing the opportunity. Yes life can be tough at times and feel like a dog-eat-dog world, but you never have to compromise your character. It may feel like the ones that compromise get the most, but it is a quick way to ruin the rest of your life. Many of these people are unhappy inside. They may be at the top, but no one likes them or the people around them are phony. Be you and always improve and build on who God made you to be. Make sure to always keep the core you. That way even if you reach your lowest low, you can always have a foundation to build on.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When you are attempting to do anything bigger, feeling overwhelmed will come with it. It will not be all the time, but it will come in waves. When I feel overwhelmed, my best strategy is praying about it and discussing it with my loved ones. When you bottle it up inside, there is going to be a time when you implode or explode. Also, take your time to truly assess the situation. There are times when you feel overwhelmed, but it’s only because your view of the situation is wrong. You may be adding burdens that are not necessary for you to hold. It’s best to break it down piece by piece and truly look at the truth of the matter. Feeling overwhelmed is a true feeling. With that being said, you have to remember that life is a roller coaster. There will be ups and downs. Be sure to look back at when you were up then even further back to when you were down. Do you notice that there is a pattern there? It is the same as when you go forward.
