Meet Chris Gibson

We recently connected with Chris Gibson and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Well, my parents were both entrepreneurs as were their lifelong best friends, who were also my God Parents. So, I grew up around the ups and downs of that type of life. Both my father and my God Father were very successful, and as I look back on it now, the creative ways they approached challenges just became a part of my nature. I am very disciplined and willing to see things through to a successful end. It is a kind of optimism that things are always working out for me. I also don’t believe in dumb luck. I do believe in the law of attraction in that what we focus on, good or not so good, is drawn to us. As I have gotten older, (I’m in my 50’s now) I can see the patterns and how things came together that just solidifies my belief in this. Even my big success today has come from these principles.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I have always had an interest in holistic health as I had an early and severe bout of acne that no dermatologist or drug could clear. We tried everything. Which kind of forced me to look outside the medical profession “box” for answers and a cure. Fortunately, I did find a holistic path to clear skin and much better health which was the subject of my best selling book I wrote in 2006.

That also jump started my TV and Radio appearances for the next 6 years. My brand of holistic, uplifting, and supportive approaches to health, longevity, and skin care, have now led to a super successful YouTube channel and community (255K Subscribers), which I am very proud of. We are even developing a small skincare line based on these same principles called Clear Revolution Skincare. I am also now working with many big name skincare brands who match my approach to skincare.

I can be found on all social media platforms but YouTube has allowed me to take the restrictions off of being on mainstream TV shows l, and really be myself. I recently received a local community award (WAVE Award For BEST Local Influencer) and we keep getting recognized by FaceBook As Rising Creator for both the main and fan pages. It’s really an amazing time!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have served me well are discipline, patience with myself and the process, and acknowledging the progress I make. It helps of course, to be focused and work on a passion you have. The best advice I have, especially on building a following, is to not look for, or expect, some viral miracle to carry you to success. Be steady in your approach and show up every day for it. And, be kind to yourself and others on your journey. Take note of what you are focusing on, the progress or the struggle. You get more of what you focus on. The good ideas come when we are in a good place mentally, and you get what you focus on whether you want it or not.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Easy! “Ask And It Is Given” – by Esther and Abraham Hicks. Life changing. It solidified what my personal experience has been in my life and how the universe’s energies work in realtime to bring us our day to day experiences.
