We were lucky to catch up with Chris Medina recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chris, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
To be honest, I pay absolutely NO attention to it. I’ve learned at a very young age, you cannot please everyone and do not expect to. Once you go down that road, it’s hard to veer off of it. When you’re authentic and genuine in what you do, you really don’t hear all the background noise.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a natural born Psychic-Medium helping people evolve their lives in a real way. I’ve been told I am like 5 years of extensive therapy wrapped in a hour session. Waking people up to their own power is what I do best. I am here to remind you, you’re the one in control! You have the power to change your life anytime you want. Discovering who you truly are, underneath all the fear, hurt, pain, insecurity, trauma, etc… is the first step. Evolution is a process. It takes time to restructure a lifetime of thinking into another. Understanding, healing, patience and change, takes time. Your time! My sessions are tailored made for each individual. No two people are alike. You are unique and so is your journey! People are always being lumped into categories and often compared to another. Yes, there are similarities but how you deal with the situation is always different. I break down that illusion from the very start. I tell you what others won’t. I see you for you.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Experience, first and foremost. All the lessons I had to go through at a young age to where I am at now, truly carved a path for me. From the good to the bad, all of it molded me into the person I have become, which allows me to connect in a genuine way. I am able to speak from experience, not from a book or through the experience of another.
Boundaries are necessary with everyone, including family. When I began my journey, I noticed how everyone couldn’t accept the changes and the person I was becoming. It’s hard to move forward with people holding onto your shoulders and ankles, reminding you of who you “used” to be and all the things you used to do. I had to let a lot of people go. People that I knew I couldn’t bring with me. Like clothes, you outgrow people and places. It’s a natural process and part of evolving.
Action is key! Taking all that you’ve learned along the way and putting it to use, What good does it do you to acknowledge what needs to be done – in order for you to get out of your own way and do absolutely nothing about it. You have to be willing to get up and change direction. I’ve never seen anyone get somewhere by just standing still. If you’re waiting for the universe to drop change into your lap, make yourself comfortable, you’ll be waiting for a while.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The number one obstacle would be changing how the world views true Psychic’s / Mediums. It’s not about ghost chasing, predicting the winning lotto numbers or casting spells to make someone fall in love with you. Nothing about my sessions are for “Entertainment Purposes Only”. I am helping real people overcome real problems in their lives. Being able to tap into someones mind is something I do not take lightly or play with. Some of the shit I hear going on out there infuriates me. You have people out there trying to play God or even worse a “love and light guru”. I am not here for any of it. I am NOT the key to your evolution or success, its all you! I’m here to remind you the keys have been in your hands the entire time. I assist in helping you move those challenging blocks from your path, so you can get to where YOU need to be.
