Meet Chris Smith

We were lucky to catch up with Chris Smith recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Chris with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I got my work ethic both from my parents being very disciplined and tough. I would also say having an athletic upbringing plain sports forced some great discipline and sense of teamwork on me. Football in wrestling and all that stuff.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Well, I do love to act insane but I especially love teaching self-defense, and personal training. It’s a chance to empower people, especially women. It’s amazing to see them on a skill set as well and watch them getting richer. I never changes people always need to work on themselves 🙂

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Consistency is key. You must always be consistent towards what you’re trying to do..

Honesty. If you’re honest inside, it will show through on the outside. People want to work with people they can trust.

Set yourself up for success. Not failure. Get your sleep drink your water take your vitamins. Write things down that you wanna get done. Stick to it.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I’m overwhelmed all the time. The things are due to come back that are telling myself pay. Everything‘s fine. This isn’t your first time being overwhelmed nor will it be your last. Sit down. Write everything down that you want to get done and just start working. Do not become paralyzed.
