We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christen Threats. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christen below.
Christen, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I got that from my mother. She always raised me to never be a quitter she said to always do what makes me happy and to make sure that I’m the best at it
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Well I’m most known for my exotic entertainer experiences but I’ve used that to now propel my music forward. I’ve always sung and danced all of my life so when I stepped away from dancing full time I started my musical journey. I always tell people do what makes you happy and do it in your own timing which is how I started singing so late professionally. I had to find my own lane (as the younger generation would say). Now I do music that make people feel good and I talk about real life situations. It’s always been my gift to be relatable so that’s why they love my music.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
When it comes to entertainment it’s best to do your research on your field before making a decision. Never go into anything blind sided google is free and for me when I was coming up we didn’t have that available so now that knowledge is at your fingertips please use it and lastly do what makes you happy it’s ok to look out for or pour into others but you can never pour from an empty cup so take care of yourself by all means it’s your life you only get 1 so live it to the fullest and enjoy 😉
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
It’s always been about my kids. I had them very early in life and I’ve had to grow with them so my direction came from knowing I had to take care of them. I’ve had quite a few bumps in the road and I’ve never proclaimed to be perfect but I had a great village behind me all of my life it’s what made me who I am my goal was always to make my kids my mom and my family proud. I wanted them to know that no matter what we’d be ok and that’s what I set out to do daily.
