Meet Christian Walker

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christian Walker a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Christian , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity comes honestly from my beliefs and how i was raised. I came up in a lutheran church (Jehovah Lutheran Church of Pensacola Fl) where giving unto others as you’d want given to you was a foundation of being christ like. Though thats just a portion of it thats what stuck with me always. So thats how i move. Treat people how you want to be treated

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Hello!
I’m Christian Walker aka Flow with Chris
A choreographer/dancer/creative director and all around creative.
I host dance classes here in Jacksonville fl and surrounding areas like orlando teaching my take on multiple styles from hip hop to contemporary to heels. Also, I partner up with the community in different ways to create dance concept videos, perform in local events, and more.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The 3 skills that helped me a lot honestly were networking, learning how the market, and learning the helllll out of different demographics. They all work hand and hand so once you get good at 1 the others kinda fall into place if you’re working through them right.
1.) with Networking always be yourself in any room you walk in and don’t be afraid to start the conversations
2.) learning how to market. It always starts off w/ finding out whats yoir best selling quality first your business
3.) pleaseee for love of me remember you can merge your demographics but pay attention to why some of it doesn’t carry over into other places.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

The number one obstacle for me has always been being consistent. For the last 2 years I dropped the ball with teaching my classes consistently, ofc with going through life’s challenges I needed breaks, rest, etc. but now i’m picking it back up weekly like how i first started and i’m taking my time with it unlike before. I’m truly giving myself room to create, creating deadlines for things to be done, moving with an actual schedule, even simpler things like posting more on my FWC business page.
