Meet Christiana Weber and Hannah Cohen

We were lucky to catch up with Christiana Weber and Hannah Cohen recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hannah & Christiana, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
Both Hannah and I have worked in the beauty and editorial industries prior to becoming distributors for the Iyashi Dôme. We’d like to acknowledge NYC, the city where we both built our careers, for being the best teacher when it comes to building our work ethic, tenacity and resilience.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Our business involves the distribution of the Iyashi Dôme, a transformational Japanese sauna technology that provides a variety of benefits thanks to its patented black carbon technology. This brand has been on the market for over 20 years in Europe, Middle East and Africa and for the last year & half, we have been introducing the brand to the US and LATAM market. A key element for Hannah and I is our international background that has led us to understand a European/Japanese brand and know how to introduce it and adapt it to a different market.

Following the success of our Miami pop-up, we’re excited to continue expanding Iyashi Dôme’s presence across North America. We’ve already made significant strides with recent expansions into Mexico and Chile, and our first commercial location in the U.S. just opened in New York City at Reforme, an immersive beauty and recovery space. Moving forward, we plan to expand further on the East Coast and beyond by forging new partnerships with spas, wellness hotels, and luxury and innovative real estate developments.

One of our most exciting upcoming collaborations will take place in January 2025, with Reto Health, a cutting-edge wellness center that will feature state-of-the-art recovery, fitness, and biohacking technologies in Miami. We are also exploring opportunities to partner with luxury resorts and wellness destinations, creating more accessible ways for people to experience the transformational benefits of the Iyashi Dôme across North and South America. Our goal is to make this niche wellness technology available to a wider audience while continuing to build our presence in major wellness hubs and hospitality groups.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The most crucial qualities and skills that Christiana and I have learned is resilience and always having a positive outlook on our business. Without these two, it is easy to have external factors weigh heavy on you and lose the vision you set yourself. We are also extremely flexible and ready to pivot when needed which we believe has helped us immensely along the way on our journey.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
An ideal client for us lies with the hospitality and wellness sectors, as well as major real estate development firms across the US. Individuals that seek and understand the importance to elevate the wellness components within their facilities and strive to integrate new technologies to do so. Partnering with these groups can have long term benefits for each parties, as they would be the pioneers in America to integrate such luxurious and niche wellness technology, whilst it would entail and organic exponential expansion for us across different markets across the U.S.
