Meet Christiane Lang

We recently connected with Christiane Lang and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Christiane with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I think my work ethic really comes from how I grew up and the values I was raised with. Where I come from, you show respect through hard work and reliability — it’s just part of who you are.

When I moved abroad, that was tested in a whole new way. I had to adapt, learn quickly, and prove myself in a different culture and language. That experience taught me a lot about resilience and staying consistent, even when things are unfamiliar or challenging.

For me, work ethic isn’t just about working hard — it’s about showing up, being dependable, and always giving your best, even when no one’s watching. That’s something I really carry with me in everything I do.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I started my career as a licensed physical therapist in Germany, working with patients to help them move better and feel stronger. I really loved that part of my work — connecting with people and seeing their progress over time.

When I moved to California, my German license wasn’t recognized, so I couldn’t continue practicing. At first, that was a bit of a setback, but it also made me look at things from a new angle. I realized that even if I couldn’t treat patients directly anymore, I could still support the profession in a meaningful way.

I saw so many amazing physiotherapists and wellness professionals doing great work, but not being visible online — their websites didn’t reflect who they really were, and their marketing often felt impersonal.
So I decided to combine my background in therapy with my experience in marketing and started CLARITY – Christy Lang Healthcare and Wellness Marketing.

Now I help clinics and wellness professionals communicate their value in a clear and authentic way — so their message reaches the right people and their work gets the recognition it deserves.
For me, it’s not just about marketing; it’s about connection — helping those who help others be seen.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Adaptability became a big part of my story when I moved from Germany to California. My physical therapy license wasn’t recognized, so I had to completely rethink my career. At first, that was tough — but it also taught me to stay curious, open, and flexible. I realized that change doesn’t mean losing your identity; sometimes it’s just a new way to express it.
Empathy has always guided me. In physical therapy , it was about understanding how someone felt in their body. Now, in marketing, it’s about understanding how a message feels to the person reading it. That emotional connection — that human touch — is what makes work meaningful, no matter the field.
And communication became the bridge between my old and new world. I learned how to translate care into words, how to make complex ideas feel simple and human. My advice for anyone starting out would be: listen deeply. The better you understand people — their needs, fears, and hopes — the more impact your work will have.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is growing my business to help even more people. I love working with health and wellness professionals, learning their stories, and helping them share their work authentically. Recently, I helped a small physiotherapy clinic create an online strategy that truly reflected their values, and seeing the first new clients come in was such a rewarding moment — it reminded me how powerful this work can be.
To tackle this challenge, I’m focusing on building systems and tools that make my work more efficient and intentional. That way, I can continue to have a meaningful impact with each client and reach even more professionals who want to be seen and trusted by the people they help.
