Meet Christina Crowder

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christina Crowder. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christina below.

Christina , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

As an event planner, my optimism truly stems from my faith. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that things will unfold as they’re meant to, which helps me approach each event with a sense of calm and confidence. I’ve learned that worrying about what could go wrong often takes away from being fully present to solve problems in real time. Instead of fixating on potential mishaps, I focus my energy on envisioning all the good that can happen; the joy, the connections, the memories being made. That mindset has made all the difference in how I show up for my clients and their events. At the end of the day, it’s all about your attitude and how you accept whatever outcome comes your way. I choose to trust the process, stay grounded, and keep moving forward with a positive outlook.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the founder of Inspired Events by Christina, an event planning company that specializes in creating intentional, meaningful experiences that bring people together in celebration, connection, and purpose. My journey as an event planner has been deeply rooted in my love for community, creativity, and my desire to help others feel seen and supported in life’s special moments.

What excites me most about what I do is the ability to transform ideas into reality—taking someone’s vision and creating a space where joy, love, and memories can flourish. No two events are the same, and I love that. Each gathering tells a unique story, and I’m honored to help bring those stories to life through thoughtful design, seamless coordination, and intentional details.

What’s special about Inspired Events by Christina is the heart behind the brand. It’s more than just planning events—it’s about creating experiences that feel authentic and unforgettable. I believe in being fully present for my clients, handling the behind-the-scenes chaos so they can enjoy their event with ease and peace of mind.

In addition to event planning, I’ve expanded my services as a doula, offering support to mothers—especially women of color—through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This work is deeply personal to me, and it allows me to walk alongside women during one of the most transformative times of their lives, providing both practical care and emotional support.

I’m also planning to host wellness-focused events this year, including a Mom’s Wellness & Connection Retreat, which I’m really excited about. It’s a beautiful blend of my passion for events, holistic wellness, and supporting women in all stages of life.

At the core of everything I do is a desire to serve, to uplift, and to inspire—whether through an elegant wedding, a soulful retreat, or a perfectly curated celebration.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities and skills that have been most impactful in my journey are entrepreneurial mindset, hospitality, and a commitment to exceptional service.

One of the most invaluable experiences for me was learning how to run a business through my time in MLM (multi-level marketing). That experience taught me the foundational skills of marketing, client engagement, and brand building—skills I’ve been able to carry over and use to rebuild and strengthen the foundation of my event planning business. It gave me the confidence to operate with intention and strategy.

Another game-changing part of my journey was working in hospitality at a young age. That experience taught me how to provide excellent service, anticipate people’s needs, and create memorable experiences. Learning the standard of true quality hospitality has been a driving force behind everything I do in my businesses. It’s not just about getting the job done—it’s about how you do it and the feeling you leave people with.

For anyone early in their journey, I’d say: Start where you are and be willing to learn everything you can. Don’t underestimate the value of “small” jobs or early experiences—they often shape your work ethic and skill set in powerful ways. If you want to improve in any of these areas, find opportunities to serve others, take on challenges that stretch you, and always stay curious. The way you treat people and the level of care you put into your work will set you apart every time

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

The number one challenge I’m currently facing is finding the balance between being a full-time employee, a parent, and a full-time entrepreneur. My ultimate goal is to fully transition into entrepreneurship so I can give my businesses the energy, attention, and focus they truly deserve. However, balancing these responsibilities—especially as a parent—is never as simple as finding “true balance.”

Instead, I’ve learned that it’s more about learning to ride the waves that come with each role and adjusting as needed. Some days, one area requires more of me than others, and I’m learning to be present where I am while still keeping my long-term vision in sight. Right now, I’m focusing on managing my time with intention, streamlining systems within my businesses, and building a strong foundation so that when the time comes to make that leap into full-time entrepreneurship, I’m ready and aligned.

It’s not easy, but I believe that consistency, faith, and focus are key—and I’m trusting the process while putting in the work daily.
