Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christina Daniels. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Christina, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I define resilience as the ability to bounce back after challenges and keep going, with faith and hope. The truth is, I don’t always feel this way. Sometimes, I don’t want to keep going, hoping, or having faith. Like others, sometimes I want to wallow in self-pity. However, I literally have an amazing support system that encourages me and reminds me that I have a purpose. I don’t always believe them in the moment, but their seeds always take root and start growing eventually.
And I can’t forget the people that I serve. There are people gleaning from my breakthroughs and my ability to find strength in difficulties. They’re learning and bouncing back as I share my journey and strategies with them. They keep me going as well because they remind me that God has purposed me to help liberate others from loss of hope and to support them so they don’t feel as alone.
Essentially, God has blessed me with support and an audience base to teach me resilience. But God is my ultimate strength. I believe He restores me and helps me get through impossible situations with His supernatural strength to bounce back. Check out one of my favorite verses that shows resilience comes from being strengthened by God: “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I currently operate Adorned Heart Corp., a non-profit aimed at educating and supporting women in their journey of self-love, relationships, and faith. The organization offers quizzes, blogs, and resources for women to self-reflect and empower their souls to move into the life they want. I also offer Empowerment Coaching, aimed at helping women leave disempowering situations—such as emotional distress, relationships, and jobs.
I distribute some free goodies on my website: The Heart Detox (an emotional cleanse e-book), 5 Secrets to Feel Loved Daily, and Chapter 1 of the Healing After a Toxic Relationship Workbook. I hope you enjoy these resources and look out for upcoming new courses that I’d like to offer soon.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Humility, hard work, and faith are essential qualities. I’ve learned that what works today might not work tomorrow, requiring me to pivot. Pivoting can be challenging when you’ve invested so much in one area of growth and it’s regressing or stagnant. However, I’ve had to continue working hard despite the results, having faith that everything will work out as it should. Additionally, continually researching and learning more about my field, even when I feel like an expert, has been humbling. The market and advertising trends change, and I must adapt with them.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents never limited me. I didn’t grow up thinking that I had to compete with others or that I couldn’t be or do whatever I desired. This has given me a stubborn drive to pursue the things I want. I don’t always see closed doors or impossibilities where others might. I’ve learned that there are actual closed doors and hard doors to enter, but because I had a good foundation, I realize that it’s because God is protecting me from what isn’t mine or currently good for me. I truly believe Psalm 84:11, that God withholds no good thing from those who love him.
