Meet Christina Garza

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christina Garza . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christina below.

Hi Christina, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
Growing up my brother and I lived with my grandparents while my mom worked several jobs. They never had much but always gave what they could to anyone in need. Often needing help themselves, they would still give to anyone who needed it. I always looked up to them both and admired the kindness they always showed. Seeing how much happiness and gratitude others would show from sometimes the smallest of a kind gesture always give me joy. I spent most of my life searching for that perfect fit when it came to a career. It wasn’t until I seen the joy and confidence that the beauty industry brought to people that I finally knew I found my “PERFECT FIT”. I love being able to provide a service that fills a person with joy and boosts their confidence. My grandparents taught me at an early age that KINDNESS is the most precious gift you could ever give someone. They always spoke about how people travel different roads in life and that they come with different ups and downs. And , that no two persons story is ever 100% the same. At some point we all have needed someone during a rough time in life. I choose to always be the kind heart that my grandparents were. They made such a huge impact on so many lives in so many ways.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I have been in the Beauty Industry for 7 years now. I worked for another company my first year in and then ventured into a partnership Business of my own. It just made sense. Over the years I have crafted my skill in Lash extensions. When COVID shut downs began, I was barely a year into my 3rd salon location. After a few months, I had to let my salon go and search for other work. I started doing deliveries as an essential worker to get by. Once non essential workers were allowed to operate again I began a new business La’Adore Beautique. To build again, meant initial overhead . So I took a job out of town, and returned back to to Arlington Tx in January 2023. My focus has been to build my social media pages and to promote my specials to invite new clients for the opportunity to build that rapport. My goal is to expand and to start offering affordable training classes again. My 5 yr goal is to be Store front again and working on that 10 yr goal to have several operating salons in the surrounding areas. If you can build it once from the ground up, you can build it again with even more knowledge..

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Networking with others who were on the same journey. Learning.. constantly learning.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
I feel we should go all in on our strengths and invest effort on improving our not so strong areas. I give my all to every service I provide. And yet, I am always learning to improve my weaker areas.
