We recently connected with Christina Havis and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My upbringing shaped my work ethic more than anything else. Growing up, I moved nearly every year of my childhood. Not because we were unstable, but because my mother always believed in reaching for something better. She wanted a better city, so we left Las Vegas for Los Angeles. She wanted a better car, so she traded in her Mustang for a Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo. She upgraded from renting an apartment to owning a three-bedroom house. And even as a single parent, she somehow managed to take extravagant vacations every year and spoil me with all the things, all while working hard to make sure we never went without.
On the other hand, I watched my father compete as a heavyweight bodybuilder and rise to the top of his category. I saw firsthand the brutal training, the strict diet, and the unwavering discipline it takes to compete at that level. Summers were spent watching him prep for shows, and I’d sit in the audience feeling that electric mix of pride and awe as he stepped on stage.
Both of my parents instilled in me the same lesson: set a goal and work relentlessly to reach it. Hard work was never optional; it was just how things got done. That mindset is part of who I am. For me, hard work isn’t a burden, it’s simply the price you pay for growth and a better life.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m the founder and CEO of This Plan Entertainment LLC, an independent talent management company based in Los Angeles. I work closely with actors, influencers, and other creatives, developing them into professionals with careers they can be proud of and build on for years to come. Our mission is simple: set a plan and make it work.
What excites me most is seeing someone’s dream move from an idea to a reality. Whether that’s landing a breakthrough audition, building a personal brand that truly represents them, or finding the confidence to step into bigger rooms. I love helping my clients unlock opportunities they didn’t think were within reach and showing them how to make the most of every door that opens.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding our roster, building stronger partnerships across the industry, and continuing to offer services that help our talent stand out in competitive spaces. We’re also excited about creating and producing original content that reflects our vision and gives our clients even more opportunities to shine.
For me, This Plan Entertainment LLC isn’t just about management, it’s about community, strategy, and making sure no one has to figure out this industry alone. When we set a plan, we make it work together.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, I’d say three things have been most impactful for me: resilience, clear communication, and being willing to learn as I go.
First, resilience, because no matter how good your plan is, life will test it. Things go wrong, people disappoint you, and doors close unexpectedly. But if you know how to get back up, pivot, and keep moving, you’ll be okay.
Second, clear communication is essential in this industry. You have to know how to speak up for yourself, advocate for your ideas, and make sure you’re understood. That applies whether you’re negotiating a contract, setting expectations with a client, or building new relationships.
Third, being willing to learn as you go is crucial because you’ll never know everything when you start. So many people get stuck waiting until they feel ready. The truth is, you learn by doing. The faster you jump in, the faster you figure it out.
For anyone starting out: Don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is feedback. Practice saying what you need, what you want, and what you expect. Don’t assume people know. Stay curious and open. Read, ask questions, try things, and never stop evolving.
At the end of the day, the goal isn’t to be perfect. It’s to be adaptable, clear, and brave enough to grow.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I’m definitely open to partnerships and collaborations that align with our mission at This Plan Entertainment LLC.
We’re looking to connect with like-minded creatives, brands, and industry professionals who value integrity, strategy, and community. This includes actors, content creators, producers, casting directors, photographers, marketing professionals, and brands that want to authentically support and elevate diverse talent.
Collaborations that focus on creating original content, expanding opportunities for emerging talent, or providing educational workshops and resources are especially exciting to us.
If you’re interested in partnering or collaborating, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me directly at [email protected] or through This Plan Entertainment’s website/contact page at www.ThisPlanEntertainment.com.
Together, we can build stronger networks and create meaningful opportunities for the talent we serve.
